I went into Walmart a year or two ago to buy a $30 Timex watch. They made me pay for it at the jewelry counter before continuing my shopping in the rest of the store.
Somehow, I've managed to move on.
To: Joe 6-pack
Back when they had ammo, you had to pay for it at the Sporting Goods counter.
If you buy an SD card, you have to pay for it at the electronics counter.

They make you do the same when you buy ammo. Pay in sporting goods. There was rarely a line, so I started paying for everything there. Then just waltz past the line on the way out.
