I live a little SW of Boston.
The wooden lot behind my house is LOADED with ticks.
Made the mistake of going back there 2 summers ago to clean up a bit.
Even a few days later i would still find one of those nasty bloodsuckers stuck on me somewhere..The woman next door caught the Lime a while back and i believe it ended up ruining her life.
Been that way around here for years now.
Don’t remember ever getting infested with ticks when i was a kid though.
i wonder what happened..
Me neither maybe the truck sprayers worked back then.

She looks like she uses dryer lint. You can use cotton balls.
What happened is the cities and towns stopped spraying DDT

The “don’t shoot Bambi’s mother” crowd took over.
A few years back, a major park just south of the city was overrun withy deer to the point where they were starving. The state organized a series of hunts to cull the herd. The wailing of the snowflakes was intense.

Fewer hunters, fewer farms/fields, and the increase of woodlands on those fallow open spaces have allowed the deer/moose/bear populations to skyrocket.
