Haven’t seen those trucks in quite a while now..
always been ticks and Lyme Bacterium although its prevalance is relatively new in the grand scheme of things
One of the reasons I sold my place in rural Ct and left. I couldn’t go out in my woods or yard without getting bit.
Lyme ticks are about the size of a poppy seed, plain old Brown ticks no problem take them any day.

In northern Minnesota, we used to do spring burns of long grass/meadows. I think that killed of lots of ticks in various life stages. Enter State spring burning regs (before grasses green up). The State has Fire Flights up until green up so no one can get this burning done. The ticks and the number of new diseases are now pretty prevalent.
