A Massachusetts doctor may have discovered a shot that will prevent Lyme disease in humans. The drug received federal approval from the Food and Drug Administration to be tested on people at the end of 2020. The Phase 1 clinical trial on 66 human subjects began last week. If effective, the shot will be available in the Spring of 2023.

Yep. Los Angeles. For all he knows he’s had it for many years. Round and round to different doctors complaining of fatigue, pain, restlessness all the symptoms of Lyme disease... but I suppose those are symptoms of many diseases. Just don’t expect it in SoCal.
Thank you!
BOTH?
Plum Island?
I’ve had Lyme disease three times now. The first time with chills and fever worse than any other illness, the second two times with big red bullseye rashes that warned me to start antibiotics before I got really sick.
So if the real thing doesn’t give immunity, how does a vaccine?
How about working on immunity against ticks? For a few years, ticks that bit me died and I’ve heard of someone else whose immune system killed ticks.
I don’t know how well that would protect against tick-borne illness, but it is very satisfactory.
Speaking for a friend . . .
Before WW-II, the present mess in California was already underway; but, it was interrupted by the war.
The socialism in the UK, was underway before WW-I, but was interrupted by WW-I, and again interrupted by WW-II.
In my friend’s case, after WW-II, upon getting married, the couple escaped from California.
Some of the relatives in California, just could not believe the reasons - nor would they face what was already happening.
Ronald Reagan saw it coming, but stayed and kept resisting.
Author Ernst K. Gann saw it coming, and Hollywood did not like him for it - his resistance.
The exact same leftist stuff that the leftists cannot bear to see when they look in their mirrors.
The CONSEQUENCES of their decisions.
Decades later, a cousin of my now-departed friend, will FINALLY admit to the problem.
The “instructed” part of what I wrote to you, is what he recently said to me, in regard to some so-called “PROFESSIONALS” who did not like addressing where they were *WRONG!*
Very Very Welcome news if it works- wow- awesome news! When we were kids, we pretty much grew up in the woods- everyday after school, we’d rush do our homework, then out into the woods- all over- hiking, building forts- etc- we never worried about lyme disease- now you can’t even go out in your garden or back yard or whatever without having to check for ticks when you’re done- such a devestatign thing too to get lyme-
they sure can hide- even the young ticks which can hardly be seen at all, carry lyme disease- but even the adults aren’t easy to find- the small young ticks are near impossible to see-
About 6 yrs ago my wife contracted a mystery disease. Tests turned up nothing, so doc assumed it was Lyme and immediately jacked her up on antibiotics.
Turns out she had both Lyme and West Nile. The antibiotics spared her the Lyme but it took her 6 mos. to get over West Nile.
We were hoping for some other sort of jackpot, but, heh, she’s fine and stronger for it all. God is, indeed, great.
Yep- wondering how many 100’s of 1000’s of people’s lives have been ruined because the do-gooders stopped spraying for pests? They are directly responsible for people’s lives being ruined- We are supposed to be an advanced society that has mastered the elements, and our surroundings, but nope- the miserable left set us all back centuries-
Sad, my dog was a tick magnet, until I used Suresto. He also got the annual vacc.
As I recall, doctors were saying they couldn’t get ahold of the vaccine no matter how they many times they requested it. And at the same time the company was claiming there wasn’t enough demand. Seems to me there may have been a glitch in communication somewhere.
I was one who tried to get vaccinated back then. Hopefully this time the vaccine will actually reach the market!
Fewer hunters, fewer farms/fields, and the increase of woodlands on those fallow open spaces have allowed the deer/moose/bear populations to skyrocket.
May is Lyme Disease Awareness Month - Check for tick bites often

Yep, it is a routine now, hopefully none sneak thru
The Merck vaccine was withdrawn because it made people “Lyme (antibody) positive” (obviously) and people were suing for being made Lyme +.
“ I’ve read that its very hard to diagnose also”
Especially when you don’t have it.
