I was watching the post-Trump speech analysis on Newsmax this evening. After playing the portion of Trump's speech where he talked about the election night debacle, the host had to take a moment to read a statement that Newsmax believes the election results to be accurate and to remind us that election results were legally certified.
Why??? It's not like they had a guest on bashing Dominion and were protecting themselves from a lawsuit. In fact they were simply showing a speech excerpt. This makes no sense. Here's the issue I have with Newsmax on this. Since you've decided to fact check CNN-style, then be consistent. When you show a clip of schitt talking about Russian collusion read a statement that Mueller found no collusion. When Hillary says the election was stolen by the Russians, please correct that. Of course you won't do that.
Ironically what Trump said was 100% true. The constitution states election law can only be changed through state legislatures. In swing states you had judges and local flunkies changing rules. Check your facts Newsmax.
Keep up the "good work", I'm already starting to switch back over to fox more and more as our refreshing new conservative alternative is quickly souring...or maybe they were just less fresh than we were lead to believe.
Just based on the down ballot races it is illogical.
WHO was the post who had to discount what President Trump said about the election. I really only watch Kelly, Stenchfield, and sometimes Spicer & Co.

I think it is just that, a business decision by management that wants to protect against the risk of even a frivolous lawsuit. In the world we have previously known, there is no other rationale.
As I recall, it has been reported that Dominion was on the verge of bankruptcy just a few months ago. Dominion's suits against Powell and other sophisticated litigators appear to almost certainly be funded by 3d parties in an effort to perpetuate the myth of an honest elections
That effort likely also includes intimidating every "news" or "opinion" publisher such as Political, to be sure to add words such as "unjustified", "debunked" and "unsubstantiated" to every reference made to the words "stolen election" or "election fraud".
I think Newsmax using the words "legally certified" was over the top. Whether there was, or could be, a legally enforced certification by certain states is yet an issue. Congress on January 6 certainly did not certify anything, it simply accepted the results presented. But if covering one's ass is the objective, might as well go full out.

Newsmax is just another bunch of fakes. When it really counts they pitch in with the establishment and slink back into the shadows.

I would believe that Bill and Hillary are either lizard people from outer space, or humans doing the bidding of lizard people from outer space, before I believe that Vince Foster killed himself.
If Ruddy believes otherwise then he has been compromised. We should examine the DNA evidence on the blue dress currently hanging in Bill's closet to see if it contains anything of Ruddy's.

Abundance of caution. Self-inoculation against a deep pockets company that will engage in “lawfare” to punish any person or organization that displeases them just by running them through the very expensive legal process.
It doesn’t matter whether or not NewMax actually believes the statement. Just read it with a straight face whenever the issue comes up.
As an aside, why do broadcast Democrat influencers (they are hardly “journalists” anymore) insist in browbeating dissenting guests?
It seems like they don’t have enough confidence in the process or the validity of the election’s outcome to be indifferent to what anyone on the other side thinks or feels. Why are they so insistent in their demand that the losing side acknowledge the victory? So that the damage they are inflicting and are going to inflict on the country will be accepted as a legitimate expression of the “will of the people?”
Sure. With the razor thin margins in the House and Senate and questions about the Presidential vote count in key states still unresolved in court?
(It would be kind of amusing if there were significant reversals in selected recounts ...leading to further recounts ... leading to more reversals ... etc. It would kind of make a hash of the “legitimately certified” claim, wouldn’t it? Yep, kind of amusing.)

Used to go to the american thinker every day. I haven’t been there in over six months, maybe close to a year. Disagree with any little bit of one of their writers, you get cut off. It’s a one-way street. Disagreed with a skirt, she responded with personal accusations and insults(as though she thought she knew me). When I attempted to respond in order to defend myself, I was no longer able to post (for a short while), in other words, they are controlling the conversation to give certain people the last word. Newsmax thinks it is Fox lite. There are a few shows worth watching in the evening but for the most part Newmax is a fraud. Watch One America News instead. Even Right Side broadcast network when you can, but skip the fakes at Newsmax.
Dominion. Who’d ya think? They’ve been going around to everyone that matters and giving them the Mafia thug routine—”Nice little station ya got here—be a shame if something should happen to it, a real shame”. One of the tells is that you can see and hear them reading it off a card in the original legalese. While I don’t forgive them for knuckling under, I understand their fear. I think we may never fully see the extent of the pressure that has been brought to bear, not just on a handful of conservatives, but on thousands and thousands of people of influence and potential power.
You and I don’t live in the country we grew up in . We live in one of those countries we used to read about when we were growing up.
