Where does the conspiracy theory come from?
The belief that Trump will be sworn in on March 4 is rooted in theories promoted by the obscure sovereign citizen movement.
The sovereign citizen movement is a highly-fragmented grouping of Americans who believe taxes, US currency, and even the US government to be illegitimate.
A minority of them believe that laws do not apply to them at all, resulting in the FBI designating some members as "domestic terrorists" and "anti-government extremists."
A central tenet of the movement is that the 14th Amendment, ratified in 1868, converted "sovereign citizens" into "federal citizens."
This belief also goes so far as to dismiss the validity of any presidency after 1868, making Ulysses S. Grant the last valid president.
...
Why March 4?
Before the 20th Amendment in 1933, all presidents were sworn in on March 4.
It was introduced to shorten the "lame duck" period between elections and the start of new administrations.
Given that followers of the sovereign citizen movement reject all constitutional amendments passed after the 14th amendment, they do not view this date change as legitimate.
QAnon followers, who failed to see Trump inaugurated in January, have recycled the argument and reinvented the next legitimate inauguration date.
They say that on March 4, 2021, Trump will succeed the last legitimate president, Grant, to become the 19th president

To me, it’s not a matter of Q. If someone is going to set a date or days on which event X is going to happen (e.g. President Trump placed back into power, or the quantum financial system is going online, or mass arrests of journalists is going to occur) and it doesn’t happen, that person is going to get called out.
The good thing is that after these claims never come to fruition and the person doing the predictions is essentially outed as a kook, they not only wreck their own credibility, but that of the causes they advocate. So it’s a win-win.
“.. Q people are Patriots.and love their country.”
I agree that Q people are patriots, and have stated it many times - even in this thread.
But Q followers’ reputation as conspiracy theory nuts still makes Q a useful tool to make Trump .
And let’s be clear. Saying “So I don’t really know anything about it other than they do supposedly like me” - that is how you distance yourself - you say you don’t know really know anything about it.
I don’t know that it will be the end, but it it is tiresome. If they stayed on their own special Q thread and didn’t proselytize, it would all be fairly harmless.
The conspiracy mentality seems to spreading like a virus, and not just from and among the Q followers. Sometimes they start up some particular conspiracy thread or post it on another thread; other times it’s a person who doesn’t appear to follow Q, but someone who saw some crazy video who posts and then the Q followers chime in and then it snowballs.
For example, how many times has a thread been posted about that Veg-O-Matic sliced and diced and spliced video narrated by some ShamWow guy claiming Asylum Babbit was a crisis actor, it was all fake blood, and it it gets even crazier? At least eight times. And they pollute other threads with it, too.
I remember back in the old days some 20 years ago, someone would sometimes post a thread about some conspiracy theory being touted by Russians for everyone to laugh at, and laugh we did. Oh those gullible Russians and their conspiracy theories. Sometimes a Russian would tell us that at least they knew their media was not to be trusted, and look, now our American media was worse than Pravda. And we agreed they had a point about our media. It is easy to fall down the rabbit hole of conspiracy theory when you can’t trust what you see in the news. I get it.
These are difficult and disorienting times. I understand why people are attracted to this stuff, understand why people distrust our media and our government. I certainly don’t trust everything I read.
Still, it is worrisome how this stuff seems to be proliferating here. My thoughts on the harm this may do us posted here: https://freerepublic.com/focus/chat/3936412/posts?page=189#189
Darn spellcheck. Ashli not asylum.
“ that is how you distance yourself
I think it is how you choose to not condemn it as everyone was demanding
If no military intervention then our military failed us. Q is an anonymous figure why do you think I would “give up” on someone that are don’t even know about in the first place? That makes no sense
Like I just said, it wouldn’t surprise me to find out q owns autocorrect, and here this incident comes right along. It’s proof, I tell you.
True, he didn’t really condemn it, but he said he didn’t know anythng about it - hardly an endorsement!
What is the saying - “damned by faint praise”?
Yes, but he had his chance to condemn it and said they like their country and like him.
If they were an insignificant number in his base, he had nothing to gain by condemning it.
Or
He new there were huge numbers and likely that the Q drops were opened as a way to skirt the media and communicate directly.
Steve, you seem like a nice guy. I, too, wish we had a free and fair election and that Biden had not been sworn in.
If it can be proven Biden is indeed controlled by foreign operatives as you say, there is a remedy for that: impeachment followed by conviction. The military have no place in that process.
I wonder how long he will remain in the role of POTUS, as he appears to perhaps be struggling with some cognitive decline. We shall see.
Yes, it does appear his son Hunter was on the take in China and Ukraine. It sounds like a cruder version of Hillary’s pay-to-play scheme sans the niceties of a “charitable” foundation laundry. (And look how she got clean away with it. Galling, isn’t it?) This was known before the election. If the “ten percent for the Big Guy” thing pans out to be true and provable, there could be a good case for impeachment.
Grassley and Johnson did indeed transmit their report to Barr and pressed the DOJ to determine whether Hunter should have registered as a foreign agent. So far, crickets from DOJ. I do not recall Grassley saying Hunter was “an official spy”. (Foreign agent and spy are not exactly the same thing!)
I can’t see how Biden “wouldn’t be president or Commander in Chief” as he was sworn in on January 20. It’s a done deal. He is legally president. The only legal means of removing him from office is impeachment followed by conviction.
Q is a fabricated story which was designed to misdirect the GOP base into believing that the Democrat corruption was eventually going to be investigated.
Remember “Whitewater”...”Ukraine”...”Birth Certificate”
Different stories, same result.
The message is that the Uniparty will do whatever it takes to stay in power....until the Democrats finally get what they want.
One Party Rule over the entire USA.
No. Absolutely nothing. Trump’s speech yesterday made clear there was no such nonsense.
I can’t believe any of the Q-tips are still going with this crap. Trump will be dead and buried and they will still be “He’s gonna be resurrected any day now.”
Utter tripe and nonsense. Trump made very clear yesterday he lost-—illegally, but is NOT president-—and also made clear he “may” run in 2024.
Just like every other stupid Q-tip date that is thrown out-—”but once Sessions resigns, THEN the crap will hit the fam”
-—”The Horowitz Report”
-—”The Horowitz Report vol. 2”
-—”Huber”
-—”Durham”
-—”Whitaker”
-—”Barrstool”
-—”December 14!”
-—”Pence on Jan. 6”
-—so now it’s March 4, huh?
Thank you. Which means the military would recognize this as a compromised DOJ.
Commander in Chief is not the same as the president. They're two different jobs. Now read this
https://whitehouse.gov1.info/continuity-plan/
And now that March 4th is getting near, we are already seeing the groundwork being laid for a new date. Some nonsense is going around about the military and 100 days which means the magic day will be changed to end of April once the March prediction fails. It’s never going to end.
Durham is a zero.
Biteme will never be protected.
Quips claimed “thousands of sealed indictments,” “military tribunals” & other utter nonsense.
SVe a low level FBI lawyer, not one person will be prosecuted.
