OUR WASHINGTON DISPATCHES.

WASHINGTON, Tuesday, Feb. 26.

MOVEMENTS OF MR. LINCOLN -- HIS VISITORS.

Mr. LINCOLN, accompanied by his son ROB ERT and his Private Secretary, NICOLAY, took a long walk to-day, shortly after sunrise, that there might be a physical stratum on which to rest the mental labors of the day.

JOHN BELL was one of the earliest callers on Mr. LINCOLN this morning, and after a brief and satisfactory interview, an appointment for tomorrow was made.

Gov. HICKS, of Maryland, called and congratulated Mr. LINCOLN on the fact that he was here in safety, and that his coming had been productive of no more ill feeling. While Gov. HICKS was with Mr. LINCOLN, F.P. BLAIR, Senior, called to see him relative to the appointment of his son, MONTGOMERY. A second call was also made, when Mr. LINCOLN listened with great respect to the advice and counsels of the old Jacksonian.

Gov. BOUTWELL, and a delegation of New-England men, have been urging the appointment of Gov. BANKS to the War Department.

Subsequently two interviews were granted to Committees from other sections of the country, who presented the claims of the same gentleman.

BLAIR, Sen., is said to be full of fight, and counsels anything but peaceful measures.

In company with Senator TRUMBULL, Mr. LINCOLN went to the Capitol this afternoon. While there he interchanged courtesies with many Senators.

The Committee appointed by the joint session of the Senate and House to notify Mr. LINCOLN of his election, waited upon him this evening, doubtless greatly to his edification. Mr. LINCOLN received them with great courtesy, and laughingly remarked that such a rumor had reached him before.

Sounds like the Times was more interested in exploring Lincoln's "mental, moral, and physical condition" than they have been with Biden's.
