It occurred to me today, as I listened for the first time since Rush went home, that he impacted MILLIONS of lives.
And it ALSO occurred to me he never knew, nor expected to know any of those lives.
And it further occurred to me that these/those lives are de-facto his legacy and HIS ...
(BAM... upside the head !)
POSTERITY.
thus;
"We the people of the United States,
in order to form a more perfect union,
establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and
secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity,
do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
vasmity indeed
Heheheheh!
The dreaded VASMITY!!!!
It could be legendary...moose biting, stuning, beebers...covfefe!
Yer in good company, FRiend...:)
As for moving on from Rush-anyone who uses the phrase “Move On” in any context should be keelhauled as a suspected Leftist.
So they can all kiss my butt.
attiude VASMITY!!!
For most of us here, Rush is that Liberty Bell that will keep on ringing within us forevermore.
If Big Ben was an American person....
What you say is all well and good. However, one of the things that Premier (Rush’s parent network) has to do with the time slot that Rush had is make it so that it can… according to the idea that Rush was always putting forward… make money, you know, capitalism.
How do you propose they do that and still keep the same kind of quality that Rush always seem to put forward?
All your vasmity are belong to us! Zig! With great justice!
I was on the vasmity team once....................
To a much lesser degree, I felt a similar way when
Paul Harvey died. I was slightly younger than the main generation he effected, but I still enjoyed listening to him. Pleasant and professional.
I learned about the wonders of Bose Wave Radio products from Paul. Haven’t bought one yet, but I plan to.
I’ve had hernia surgery but I haven’t had a vasmity, does it hurt?
I'm not worried about THAT.
I AM worried about losing our modern day Thomas Paine.
Is Sean Vasmity taking over Rush’s time slot?
Delicious with onions, pickles, and tomatos....
Relish costs extra.....
Not so long as the wordsmith’s barbs are dulled.
Wow! the most important vanity ever!!!!! Needs more stars. /dummy
I started listening to Rush’s show in 1988, and I never stopped. I was and am a huge fan. His body of work on radio is probably the finest ever created. His commentaries are legendary and will be archived and will always be relevant and enlightening. With that said, the Rush Limbaugh radio program was ultimately a current events show, tackling the issues of the day as they came up. In one way or another, we do have to “move on from Rush.” We have no choice on that. There are new issues and occurrences every day, and Rush is no longer here to comment on them. I wish it weren’t so, but it’s just reality.
Only when I laugh. Ouch!!
I think Vasmity is a new erectile dysfunction drug.
