Tiger Woods was hospitalized after being involved in a single-car accident in Los Angeles on Tuesday morning. The extent of any potential injuries, as well as the circumstances of the accident, remain unclear.
Woods, 45, was in California for a two-day content shoot with Golf Digest/GOLFTV after serving as host for the PGA Tour's Genesis Invitational over the weekend. Pictures surfaced on social media of Woods smiling with Dwayne Wade and David Spade at Rolling Hills Country Club on Monday, but with his movement still restricted, he did not hit balls or play any holes. The shoot involved Woods giving on-course lessons to a number of celebrities, but he mostly provided instruction and hit a few putts. He was in good spirits on Monday but did not arrive to the course for the second day of shooting.
On Sunday, Woods told CBS’ Jim Nantz that he was awaiting the results of an upcoming MRI before he could ramp up practicing and training for a return to competition.
Woods last competed alongside his son at the PNC Championship, which finished on Dec. 20 in Orlando. He then underwent a microdiscectomy procedure to remove a pressurized disc fragment that was pinching a nerve. It was his fifth back surgery overall and the first since his spinal fusion in April 2017.
This is the best aerial coverage. It shows how Tiger hit a road sign and veered over the median strip into the left hand lanes, off the road and up the hill, missing a huge death causing tree. Lucky he is alive. What caused him to veer into the median strip? Excessive speed into the curve? Trying to avoid another car? Here is that video:

Interesting info. Thanks.
Thank you for sharing this story. Prayers for his recovery. I have to think this could really be the end of his legendary golfing career... SAD
‘Some athletes have major injuries and come back.’
Bob ‘Rocky’ Bleier...
‘Some have what seem like minor one, and they’re done.’
Sandy Koufax...
hopefully it’s not life threatening; as for golf, there was Ben Hogan coming back from a crash...
So tired of 3rd world infrastructure being the norm of USA. There’s no way to improve the road?!
Obviously you have never been to the Palos Verdes Peninsula. Tiger was in town for a golf tournament, he lives in FL.
Thanks for posting the video link.
If it were an EV he might have burned to death.
And although infrastructure is pitiful all over the US, leave it to CA to fix things last. 🤦🏻♀️
Why? There are still pockets of wealthy in that area. Like Palos Verdes, Brentwood. But they’re totally isolated now, surrounded by what’s left of the struggling/fleeing middle class, ghettos, etc.
Just down the hill from PV crime is rampant.
Until his first major back surgery, Tiger still had 10 years in order surpass Jack's major wins.......
With that being said, in terms of all time PGA tournament wins, Sam Snead and Tiger Woods are tied with 82 wins while Nicklaus only has 73.......
We are so very sorry to hear about Tiger’s accident. Actually, my cat learned about it first on her Twitter account, where she is a “Certified Golf Fan.” She sent “purrayers” for Tiger’s full recovery.
Tiger got me interested in golf. I cannot play because my vision is awful, but one Sunday afternoon, I felt like a nap. The TV was on and I decided to leave it on because golf was so boring I’d sleep right through it. Guess what? I was riveted to the screen. A very young Tiger was playing. We wish him all the best. Perhaps his darling children will fly in to visit him.
Fan boy?.....LOL!
Sorry dude, I recognize excellence when I see it and applaud it........
I don't know what you problem is and I certainly don't care.........
The last time I visited Palos Verdes was to pray for Trump’s victory at his golf course the day before election in 2016. Had lunch with my friend at Terranea resort. It’s beautiful and I’m an LA native, just not a South Bay girl. It does feel a bit too remote for me.

Based on video I have seen, this guy was traveling way too fast and lost total control, rolling the vehicle multiple times.
Definitely appeared groggy/sleepy in that on air tournament interview yesterday.
Should have hired a helicopter...
Tiger’s record of a PED doper taints his “success”...except for kneeling fan-bois like you.
Nicklaus holds the record with 18 major wins.
Nicklaus holds the record for most second-place finishes: 19
Tiger, the PED doper, will never be on the same level as Jack Nicklaus in majors, the measurement of true greatness.
Now grow up and get up off your knees!
