How many unarmed responders will have to get blown away before they realize what a bad idea this is? There’s no way to predict the outcome of a call for law enforcement. Even the most innocuous sounding calls can turn deadly.
People think this is a solution.
If they think deaths were elevated in the past, just wait.
They are doing anything but relabeling it.
This garbage is stupid and in the end it will be shown to be folly.
I was an LEO for 30 years. I was a Sergeant for most of those years and a Detective Sergeant for about 25 years. I was a very good crimefighter, team builder and leader and I enjoyed most of those years.
In todays world, I would most certainly choose a much different road.

I think one of the things that President Trump did, and isn’t talked about much, is that he allowed people in leadership positions to lead. He didn’t cover for them.
Look at his vaccine plan. Get the vaccine out and distribute to the states so they can handle what needs to be handled. Let the Governors, who convinced the people that they knew what they were doing, do their jobs.

As soon as you see the word SOCIAL or Community in Any description it is the real term used to hide the word TOTALITARIAN.

Oh please Please PLEASE let it be sooo... i've been good!!!If I were a police officer in Ithaca now, I’d quite, hopefully en mass and let the “yuts” have at it, starting with the mayor’s wife or whatever, and kids.
Is there a sane, competent mayor in any northern city in New York State - Albany, Ithaca, Rochester, Buffalo, etc? From what I’ve seen and heard, the answer is “NO” with a CAPITAL “NO”.

We watch a lot of British police shows. It is amusing to see police arrive on scene unarmed and try to confront an knife-wielding perp with nothing but words or a stick picked up from the ground.
