We are under contract!!!!
Oh my gosh, it’s been a crazy day and a half. The house has had a showing every hour since it went live at 1:33pm yesterday. Well, daylight hours. I tried to sneak over there yesterday inbetween to put out more brochures and water the plants. (Not really a brochure, just a piece of paper viewers could take with them that had utility information, my orchard and blueberry maps, and local trails).
LOL, someone was there though and I had to hide in the forest for a bit. But I got to talk to Paul, our neighbor over the fence. He’ll guide me when we get chickens, he has the cutest little bantam flock plus a full-size flock. And he’ll lend us his tractor to move the pizza oven. All the neighbors but one are SO nice. I wanted to cry having to leave.
I digress, sorry. We had a full price cash offer, no appraisal, no home warranty, 20 day closing!!! And 2 backup offers for $15K less. I feel bad for the people that don’t even get to see the house today, I know what it’s like to have a showing scheduled just to have the house go under contract before you even get to see it. But, it was an offer we couldn’t reject!
So, phase II. Now we can at least plan on what to do to remodel this house and I can book a trip to Boston, since we’ll have money again shortly. We’ve been living on a shoestring.
That sure was quick.
I’m so happy for you!
Praying all runs smoothly and you will be a one home owner soon.
Great news, CB!
Congratulations!
Good news! I was wondering if you got your pizza oven.
Great
Way to go CB.
Good luck in your new house.
Have been watching https://thechateau.tv/ ,cute how they are so much in love and his patience is amazing.
Great news! Congrats!
Congrats, CB!!
That’s a great feeling....so happy for you two.
So exciting! (sorry, missed this until now)
Not to put a damper on things, but mine was the 3rd contract on this house. The first 2 fell through. Not sure why.
Plus, I want to hear the deets on the kitchen cabinets! I’m sure yours will be fancier and bigger than what I would want, but at least gives me an idea of what I might be facing IF I decide for economic reasons that this will be my retirement home.
I really don’t want to remodel just for selling. Let someone else have the headaches. LOL
Catching up here. Congratulations on the quick offer for your house. That’s got to be a relief and exciting to move ahead with your plans for the new house.
