What’s behind the devastating power outages in Texas? Some say the problem was freezing natural gas pipelines; some say it’s because wind turbines froze or mismanagement by the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT).
To find out what’s going on in Texas, I sat down with Jason Isaac, who predicted a power crisis in Texas months ago. He’s the director of Life:Powered, a national initiative of the Texas Public Policy Foundation seeking to “raise America’s energy IQ.”
This is American Thought Leaders, and I’m Jan Jekielek.

Sounds like somebody that needs an ass whooping.
Probably a nicer term for a blogger.
Have you really never heard of the Epoch Times? American Thought Leaders is a interview program produced through their news organization. It is not a blog. Since you live in Texas you might be interested in understanding the federal green energy policies that have contributed to the blackout situation from last week.
The interview is of Jason Isaac from Texas Public Policy Foundation. I assume as a conservative you have heard of them?
You should watch, you might learn something.
It might be over your head though, fair warning.
‘Thought Leader’ gives talk that will inspire your thoughts

This is a serious subject, people are suffering in Texas and have died because of this past week of no power, why would you make fun of this?
Weed out all the BS and you are left with one fact. Despite similar storms in the past (no it wasn’t once in a century) Texas has never initiated blackouts because it couldn’t generate power.
If power was down, it was because lines were down PERIOD.
Aren't they some Falun Gong loons?
American Thought Leaders is a interview program produced through their news organization.
So.. folks just declare themselves to be "thought leaders"?
You should watch, you might learn something.
Yes, I'm sure that self-appointed thought leaders have much to teach.
It might be over your head though, fair warning.
Clearly.
Forgive me if I don't share your desire to declare random people
superior to me and adopt whatever retardation they might spew
in their efforts to gain attention.
This is the person interviewed in this news video here.
I dont think this is deserving of your disrespectful treatment. This man is smart, well spoken, understands the power generation issues is a very strong conservative, and has served in the Texas Legislature. He is an advocate for dealing with an issue that could be extremely detrimental or dangerous for Texas and really the entire United States in the future.
Do you put this down because it isn’t CNN or MSNBC? I’m so surprised you haven’t ever heard of the American Thought Leaders program.
The Honorable Jason Isaac is the Director of Life: Powered at the Texas Public Policy Foundation.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Jason, a fourth-generation native Texan, was elected four times as the State Representative for Hays and Blanco counties in the Texas Hill Country.
During his eight years of service, he successfully passed legislation to reduce taxes, strengthen election integrity, improve public education, preserve Second Amendment rights, protect local groundwater, and protect private property rights. He was repeatedly honored for his commitment to limited government and proved to be an effective leader, excelling at both advocating for conservative principles and working across the aisle to find responsible solutions for the future of the Lone Star State. Jason has appeared on national news shows, and his commentaries have been published in The Hill, The Washington Examiner, the Daily Caller, and other publications.
Jason is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University, a board member for the Digital Education and Work Initiative of Texas, and a high school lacrosse coach. He lives in Hays County with his wife, Carrie, and two sons.
It snowed
Disrespectful?
Explain what this is:
You should watch, you might learn something.
It might be over your head though, fair warning.
You need to take that "disrespectful treatment" and ram it up your tooty hole.
Forgive me, your name has the word humble in it, thought you might have the humility and ability to realize you actually could learn new things, even if not off of CNN or MSNBC. I see now your screen name was not descriptive of yourself. I’ll leave you alone now, you’ve accomplished your intent to suppress this information on this thread. Good for you. I hope you live in an area of Texas where power has been restored.
If power was down, it was because lines were down PERIOD
LOL If there is no power going through those lines could that possibly be the issue QUESTION MARK
Why would you of all people be itching about self-appointments??
ping - Texas power grid
You have said this several times.
Where were the lines down?
You are the first with this scoop so please elaborate. You have an exclusive.
We need to downsize and localize power sources. Safe micronuclear for each home or even each room. Large grids, whether gas, water, or electric, pose a risk to the population insofar as a catastrophic failure effects many.
There were very few power lines down, only a few places has ice storms. There were no power lines down anywhere in north Texas. It had to do with power plant capacity.
Did you watch the interview?
Don't be a dumbass.
Any and all "information" you posted remains exactly as you posted it.
Also whatever information you linked to. How is it suppressed?
You seem to think "criticized" = "suppressed".
That makes you a snowflake and quite frankly a little bitch.
