“Mark Meckler, the new interim CEO of Parler, currently supports a Convention of States that could give George Soros and other interests the power to rewrite the Constitution. Meckler, who was appointed as interim CEO of Parler following the removal of founder John Matze, currently runs the Convention of States Project, a supposed “grassroots” organization pushing for a convention under Article V of the Constitution. “

I wish Mark Levin were here to tell this author how stupid he is.

Suffice it to say the author is stupid...or utterly corrupt...or both.

Lots of FUD here. Almost like Article V was inserted into the Constitution by a secret cabal of leftists. What if Donald Trump himself headed up the Convention? Would you fear mongers soil your drawers then?

The communists have been licking their chops for several years over the idea of the convention and the endless opportunities they would have to expand or solidify their power...

Certainly the first & second amendments would have little chance of survival...

If the serfs are not smart enough to control the integrity of a national election, what evidence is there that something as easy to manipulate as a constitutional convention would be honest and in the best interests of freedom & liberty...

Absolutely none, IMHO...

Aw jeez, not this $&@& again. We NEED an article 5 convention to put government in check and assert states rights. A convention doesn’t give Soros or anyone else any special opportunity. Soros would just as soon push his changes through Congress where he only needs 2/3rds of the states. An article 5 convention will push state interests that the federal government resists and those changes require agreement of 3/4ths of states.

Soros wants more centralized government he can influence not the less centralized power that a states convention will generate.

A complete lie, the same tired argument the John Birch Society uses. This simply allows input from anyone, but that doesn’t mean it’ll make it to the amendment. It’s almost impossible to get any amendment to be signed by 3/4 of the states.

Like the truth or not, radical socialists have radical plans for the convention. Legislators in the states along with their big municipal interests would have that moment with no need to fear any future reactions from voters. It would certainly be a moment for Mr. Hyde to come out and crush our Republic into submission.

It’s a trap!

Republicans have control of 30, I think, state legislatures. When they have control of 34; and they have corrected the mail-in balloting mess, where applicable, I’ll back a COS...Provided each state’s application contains a rule that forbids the convention from increasing federal power in any way....

The country club Republicans in the states would pair up with the left in such a convention to “clarify” our Second Amendment with another amendment. And that would be only one of the evils you’d see.

Don’t do it! Find out which of your state legislators has supported an Article V Convention and vote against them. They’re either stupid or prepared to stab us in the back for payoffs from the world’s billionaires and absolute control over you.

Fake news. COS is our om hope. The only thing that can come out of it are proposed amendments, that still need to be ratified by 38 states.

Term Limits!!!

If all it takes is the mention of Soros in a hit piece on COS for conservatives to lose their bladders, we deserve all the socialism that can be stuffed down our throats. It’s amazing how easily manipulated we are. The last thing Soros wants is a COS that put limits on the elite he has bought.

All hail second class citizenship! No COS for us. We love the status quo. No one can take our chains, but we’ll give you our rights, Lord Soros!

Pathetic.

"Former Chief Justice Warren Burger wrote in 1988 that “there is no way to effectively limit or muzzle the actions of a Constitutional Convention. The Convention could make its own rules and set its own agenda. Congress might try to limit the Convention to one amendment or one issue, but there is no way to assure that the Convention would obey. After a Convention is convened, it will be too late to stop the Convention if we don’t like its agenda.” Conservative Justice Antonin Scalia echoed this sentiment in 2014. “I certainly would not want a constitutional convention,” said Scalia. “Whoa! Who knows what would come out of it?”"

I find these justices comments very disturbing as there is no possible way someone like Scalia or Burger could be ignorant of the process. What are they afraid of?

I will stand by my statement, there are no truly conservative judges. Why would Scalia make such an ignorant and misleading statement? There is NOTHING to fear about a Constitutional Convention for the very fact that all that can be done in convention is to propose things that then must be voted on by each state and passed by three fourths of said states. That is a bar high enough that there is simply no possible way anything radical could pass unless the huge majority of the people in every state supported and voted in support of it. If that were the case then by definition it's not radical. Again there is NOTHING to fear from a convention unless maybe you are a government elite who may secretly be afraid of losing his or hers position of power. Scalia knows this so again why would he make this statement? Maybe the answer is he is conservative as long as he does not lose any power.

I'm sorry but this article is pure propaganda. It's an outright attempt to scare people away from a Constitutional Convention.

There is no way in hell someone like Soros is putting money into promoting a COS. The only concern Soros has with a COS is derailing it, period. Why? Because there is no possible way to get his communist agenda ratified as part of our Constitution by three fourths of the states. Leftists have known this from day one of our Constitution. Would it not have been a heck of a lot easier during a democrat controlled congress to propose replacing the second amendment with something that takes away the individual right to bear arms? Of course it would have so why when democrats have many times controlled congress have they not made such and attempt? The answer is because it would be a complete and utter waste of time as the is ZERO chance it would EVER be ratified by the states. If the Left had the votes to change the Constitution THEY WOULD HAVE DONE IT A LONG TIME AGO! Good grief this is beyond stupid.

I’m okay with any convention of states amendments as long as they add a process for a state to leave the union that is not unreasonable.
