They both walked into a concealed carry class without knowing each other, but now, Wanetta Joseph and Tyrone Russell say they’re both survivors.
Joseph and Russell say they heard a lot of shots.
“It was a lot it was a lot like you could tell it was a gunfight. It was a gunfight, that’s all I knew,” the pair said.
The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office says an active shooter walked into the Jefferson Gun Outlet Saturday afternoon and started firing.
Three people including the shooter were killed. Two others were injured.
Joseph and Russell say they were upstairs in a classroom with three instructors when they heard the shots downstairs.
They say one of the three instructors stayed behind to barricade and keep the class safe while people immediately starting dialing 911.
Police arrived on the scene in minutes, and one by one helped escort everyone inside out of the fatal, gunshot-ridden building.
Walking away from an incident like that, Joseph says she finds it all the more reason to have a way to protect herself.

Spot on. Conservatives purchase their guns/ammo a long time ago. Most of the people buying guns/ammo are scared lefty type of people and Left Militia groups.

At a gun/pawn shop I frequent a few years back I was in there looking around and visiting with the staff and three out of place and acting strange came in and made a beeline for the gun section. They then started asking out of place questions and I watched the staff start slowly moving to different places, some of which I knew they had a firearm placed, most we’re carrying openly. I excused myself and started moving away from the gun section to an area I knew would offer protection and a place to fire, I was carrying a kel-tec P32 in my pocket.
The manager kept talking to them and two of them started looking about and realized they were covered from several angles, and they told the other guy hey we got to be somewhere let’s go and quickly made their way out the door. The staff stayed in place a minute or two and then went back to normal.

In some communities everyone knows the pimps, the drug dealers, the thieves, etc., and they refuse to tell the police. Mama Williams is part of a community that knows who stole what from where and when, who murdered who, and who sells drugs. Her ilk cannot never join society and they prosper in ethnically run areas where the folks like our VP get gigs helping criminals as they rise to the top of the criminal enterprise that America is fast becoming..
Joshua was a good boy, wantn’ only to turn his life around. He was on his medication thinkn’ the gun store was a 7-11 where he always withdraws his money and beer from. He not doin nothn’ wrong but just wandered into the wrong store...
