Harry and Meghan were cast out as working royals last night.
Buckingham Palace announced in a dramatic statement that they had been stripped of their remaining roles following their move to California.
Pointedly, it said they could not continue with 'the responsibilities and duties that come with a life of public service'.
Minutes later, the apparently furious Sussexes issued a stinging rebuke to the Queen, insisting they would still 'live a life of service' outside the royal fold. They added: 'Service is universal.'

The Royal Family gives a certain ‘continuity’ and stability to Great Britain - which differs from the elected government.

I don’t accept the concept of royalty. They are British, not American. Ergo, I don’t give a microbe’s vacuole what happens to them. They are doing well with the magazine covers, TV appearances, and fake book advances.
Meghan has the Presidency, and then, world domination, as her goal. The monarchy is such small potatoes. The mighty Oprah is about to launch her on her journey.
Something tells me that, at the root of this (including his marriage to Megan), is the fact that Harry is NOT actually the son of Prince Charles.

Interesting that the whole reason for them moving to the US was to maintain their private lives, yet all we see is their attempt to remain in the spotlight.
It’s my understanding (per an excessive obsession with Daily Mail comments on this subject) that yanking Duke and Duchess would revert the couple to Prince Harry and Princess Harry/Henry. Removing the HRH, the prince title and changing succession would need an act of parliament. The HRH would be removed from the Duchess if the two were to divorce.
People who know about these procedures would rather see the throw away titles stay in place the have them running around calling themselves prince and princess.
Who’s to say we won’t see bills in parliament?
Does the child molesting Prince Andrew still have a role?
The entire family should be stripped of its assets.
The last thing the House of Windsor wants is anyone getting a look at its financials.
I suspect what’s going on now may have a lot to do with that.
A game of chicken is being played.
But if it becomes public that Harry is here on a diplomatic visa so that the Harkles can get out of paying income taxes in the US, God help both the Harkles and the House of Windsor because Americans will NOT be amused.
