Donna who?
Rush had it nailed 30 years ago.
Check out starting at the 8:05 mark.
Absolutely correct.
.
Remarkably, both Phil Donahue and Marlo Thomas (That Girl) are still alive and still married to each other. Perfect: a childless, middle-aged marriage after he left the mother of his 5 children. Liberalism in a nutshell.
God......I miss Rush. For someone whom I’ve never met, I feel like I did...every day for 25 years.
loooong time ago, seems like yesterday...
Great post, what fearlessness in this man. God Bless You Rush.
At around 22:20, Alan Grayson who later became the left wing nut Congressman called in and called Rush a fascist.
By listening to him over time I learned to stand up for myself.
I do believe that without Rush we may not have recognized Trump.
Miss you, old friend.
Lots of frowny faces in that crowd.
Apparently the prog have never had a sense of humor.

That very night, I watched Rush Limbaugh: The TV Show for the very first time (which came on at like 1:00 AM in my market)! Within the next couple of days, I picked up his first best-selling book The Way Things Ought to Be. When I came back home for summer break in '93, I started tuning into his radio show daily and had been a devout loyal listener ever since.
Now, I feel like I've lost a lifelong friend with Rush's passing and I don't know how I'm ever going to fill the void that now exists between noon and 3 PM ET every weekday. He had been a part of my entire adult life.
Thank you, God, for loaning Rush's talent to us. You gave us a true American patriot.
Classic Rush! Thanks for posting.
Absolute goldmine.
Check out starting at 33:14.

I used to work 7-3 on Saturdays for years, and the first thing that I recall him saying was something about people just getting out of bed. That made me laugh as I was getting ready to go to my other job which was an 11 hour shift. I realized later that I was listing to a prerecorded program.
My first impression was that he sounded a bit gay, but he made me laugh.
So I tried to find out who he was, and it soon was evident. I listened rather regularly for years. I recall him speaking about ‘America Held Hostage,’ and he had some sort of countdown. Of course I despised Clinton, and Rush had a microphone, and he expressed Me so very well.
I was unable to watch his TV Program because of that 2 jobs thing, but one time I did see it, and I laughed heartily as he mocked the fireplace on the TV. I cannot explain it, but it struck a chord.
Of course I could write lots about my impressions and appreciations, but I am just one among many. I just wanted to Post something.
R.I.P. Rush.
2 points I would like to make.
1. I watched the entire clippings some if the commercials and loved every minute of it.
2. About halfway through there was a tall slender woman wearing pearls who clearly was as infatuated with Rush as much as I am now infatuated with her.
It was fascinating to see the perplexed faces of those liberal women in the audience encountering conservative arguments for the first time. They wanted to pigeonhole Rush, but it was obvious even to them that he did not fit in their pigeonholes.
A tour de force.
Did smirky Phil Donahue even notice how badly he lost their exchanges?
Phil is reduced to "fat jokes" and "10 reasons why Rush can't get laid."
Rush exudes confidence and clarity. 41 years old.
Rush fought fearlessly in the arena of ideas at the TIP of the spear.
He was our Champion.
He taught us well. Now we have to pick up the mantle and carry on.
That was a walk down memory lane. Enjoyed it greatly. Thanks for posting
That is the first time I saw him. Donahue didn’t know what to do with him. Rush was awesome and funny.
