He didn’t call in sick? Maybe he had done that too often in the past and needed another excuse to be absent?
Don’t pay the ransom! I’ve escaped!
Probably worked harder at his fake kidnap than if he had just gone to work.
So who hasn’t done that?
Cruz should have gone this route.
LOL, only after sending a ransom note.
I’ve used this story to explain how I ended up in a bar instead of home after work. But never tried in on my boss. Here I thought I’d done it all trying to get out of work. Now I’m retired and it’s to late.
I called in sick so much my boss said if I tried it again I better be calling in dead.
Reminds me of a girl I used to work with, back in Brooklyn at a bank.
She was out a few days and never answered the calls from the boss to find out why she was out.
When she came back in the following week, her excuse was that she had been serving jury duty.
She was fired that same day, because, it was too easy to verify if she was actually serving jury duty, which she wasn’t, according to a call to the court.
She was pretty lazy anyway, so, she wasn’t missed.
I once called in weird, but we won’t go into that.
Oh, god these answers are killin’ me! 🤣
Heard the same from my boss.....
So I told him I was having eye trouble.
EYE trouble he yelled!
Yep, I can’t see myself coming in.😂
