Taking your family on a Mexican Resort vacation when your state is in the middle of a once-in-a-lifetime weather disaster is not just tone-deaf, it’s just plain idiocy on display.

Sure, it didn’t look good, but it’s not like running for President while Canadian......

Somehow, I get the feeling that Ted is slighting enjoying this short wave of notoriety. He’s savvy enough to realize it’s not a critical faux pas, but hey, why not use this face time to talk about other things on his mind too?
I mean it’s not like he had ordered people dying from a new and highly contagious disease to be accepted in numerous care facilities, or anything like that! Right?

He's a U.S. Senator, not a state legislator. Anything the U.S. Senate does, will be a few weeks to months away. It looks bad, it is bad timing, while not changing the outcome one bit.
Yet Biden has taken off two days this week (lids) and this is a scandal please? Biden is a part-time President, who has not a friggin clue what to do! Texas isn’t the only state going thru this.

The Left does not need to kill us off. All it needs to do is find something it can manipulate as unpopular, and we’ll kill each other off for them.
Yes, it was stupid, but Cuomo killed old people by the thousands, and Biden’s first-day EO is going to kill babies by the millions. There are people who need to be dealt with, and Ted Cruz is not one of them; they all have D after their names, and some day we will find the courage to do to them what they are trying to get us to do to each other.

But he wasn’t just escorting on and off the plane or staying one night like people were saying earlier.
On Hannity he said the plan was to go to the beach and work remotely Wednesday through Sunday.
I’ve never really liked Cruz; he’s not my favorite politician.
But what good would it have done for the State, if he’d stayed in Texas, instead of going away for a couple-few days?
Give the man a break.
It’s stupid to allow your large state to commit a quarter of its energy needs to ‘wind power’.
Wind blows, Sun shines - until they don’t; but fire can always be made to burn.
And we still don’t have adequate ways of storing the energy and making those alternative energy sources truly reliable. I have a lot of faith in the future of Solar; but it’s going to take a long time before it’s large-scale viable and economical.
Wind farms also kill thousands of birds every year, and the noise and turbulence they create have been shown to cause health issues for people living near them.
You also need tons of good old-fashioned fossil fuels to manufacture those nice ‘green’ gizmos, in the first place (and don’t ask about the horrors of recycling them when they ‘die’.)
It’s more than “some.” There are Soros sucking fools here carrying the water for their Democrat masters.
