“The choice of location (ie Virginia) and the timing all lead me to think he must have been a Cavalier. All the pieces of evidence point to that conclusion.”

The book Albion’s Seed certainly confirms your theory. Your ancestors’ migration was certainly the norm. From VA those original settlers migrated south and southeast. The Mayflower group/Puritans migrated across the northern border states westward, the Scots-Irish came into the Allegany mountains and migrated down the mountain chain and the Quackers arrived in PA and for the most part, stayed put.

I'm sorry you're so utterly clueless, go look at the map again!
Where you see red counties, those are Trump supporting conservatives.
Where you see blue, those are Leftist Democrats.

How many all red or all blue states do you see, North or South?
Almost none, what you see is that big cities plus a few rural areas are "blue" Leftist Democrats, while the vast majority of rural or suburban counties are more conservative "red" Republicans.

It has nothing -- zero, zip, nada -- to do with "North vs. South" and everything to do with big cities versus everyone else.

Where you see red is mostly low population rural counties....means absolutely nothing. If that map was truly representative of the voters we would have never lost an election!!!!

“ And it’s not over yet as pedo-Joe tosses China’s oppressed minorities under the bus.”

What on earth do “China’s oppressed minorities” have to do with the United States?

That map is absolutely "truly representative" of where most conservatives live and where most Leftist Democrats live.
And it has nothing -- zero, zip, nada -- to do with "North vs. South" and everything to do with big cities.
States with huge big city populations -- i.e., California, New York, Illinois -- are dominated by Leftist Democrats.
States without huge cities and with larger rural & suburban populations, those are more conservative Trump voters.

How is that not 100% obvious to you?

Following my last comment about the settlements of different regions of the country and migration pattern, it is important to note that each group brought their own “folkways” (different views and lifestyles) with them. In my opinion, we still live with that today and we even fought one good war over it!

Of course, it is changing with migration subsequent to the founding. But the very first settlers came from England and brought their baggage with them — which have lived with for 400 years and still do.
