I know it’s not popular to say, but The Dixie Chicks were a good country music band with several great songs. They also performed, in my opinion, the greatest rendition of the Star Spangled Banner at the Super Bowl, especially if you like something melodic. Better than Whitney Houston.

It’s unfortunate that they got political, ruined their careers and lost millions of dollars. Putting politics aside, I would listen to them over any country act today.

What is really sad is that the Dixie Chicks are great musicians. The sisters are classically-trained. But, they got political and then they ruined themselves.
