You are aware that an even larger percentage of power was lost when gas and coal fired plants were forced to close down because of the weather, aren't you?

I have never heard of gas or coal power plant having to shut down because of cold weather (not that it could not happen but it is funny since the first time I have heard of it is when the green energy power sources failed because of cold.
That’s baloney. We traded baseload for green, and this is the result. I’ve spent 41 years in the baseload coal industry and what happened was not a surprise to any of us, it was predictable. It happened during a polar vortex in 2019. You can’t shut down baseload coal plants for 20 years and expect no consequences.
No doubt, built according to federal requirements
I heard but can’t prove, some gas pipelines shut down because electrical blackouts shut down the compressors. You can power gas pipeline compressors with gas turbines running on what is in the pipeline, but this has been prohibited by environmental protection ( anti-CO2 ) zealot law, making natural gas power ( the dispatchable backup ) depend on wind and solar when the chips are down.
Thus the proponents of unreliable power sources can say gas is unreliable too.
Back that statement up with facts.
