That’s baloney. We traded baseload for green, and this is the result. I’ve spent 41 years in the baseload coal industry and what happened was not a surprise to any of us, it was predictable. It happened during a polar vortex in 2019. You can’t shut down baseload coal plants for 20 years and expect no consequences.
Tell that to your governor and your energy companies. They're the one saying that half the generating capacity is offline and much of that is coal and gas plants.
