Once I saw the title, I didn’t need any more rationale. Let’s do it! All that need to be ironed out are the terms. I see no reason why both nations can’t have some kind of mutual defense pact as well as a favored trade status.
Why secede when you can conquer?
No need. They are closing in on shutting down conservative dissent. The bulk of the conservatives will die out over the next few decades anyway.
In the meantime the Left is happy to get our productivity and tax revenues.
Forget about secession. Just kick them out.
80% of Maine....the Second Congressional District....is Trump Country.
He carried this district in both 2016 and 2020 for one Electoral vote.
Strong Second Amendment country.
Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont have Constitutional Carry.
Texas and Florida do not.
New Hampshire has a Republican governor and legislature.

Sorry, Tonto, we’ve been saving your chicken asses for more than 200 years and we ain’t going no where.
Therein lies the rub. There are no Blue States. There a Blue Urban areas that have enough people, maybe, to tilt the politics their way. The majority of the respective states are conservative. Aside from maybe one or two in New England, damn every state is predominantly RED.
Let’s say, God willing, this happens and Illinois secedes. Take away the three big urban areas out and Illinois is about as RED as it gets. Virginia, NY, California, Washington, Oregon, Colorado, etc etc etc. what happens when all of Pennsylvania, except for Philly, Harrisburg and Pittsburg don’t want in on the Blue State Secession. They want to stay with the folks in the RED areas.

Is there any reason that a state has to have contiguous territory? Could New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago and San Francisco be consolidated into one political unit, with all of their congressional seats and two senate seats? Yeah, I know, never happen but I can dream.
I don’t understand. Why won’t Leftists move out to their peoples’ utopias that they always rave about if America is so rotten?
