Actually, the two may have severed that relationship due to the lawsuit, but not to pit one against the other, but to provide maneuvering room for the two as defendants.

Hmm Benny’s not a lawyer and I know he thinks he is just virtue signalling, but I wonder if he fully realizes that if he loses this case against Citizen Trump, then he is personally responsible for Trumps attorney fees ....

Agreed, if your lawyer is sued or becomes a ‘witness’ to a case, you dont have much choice but to bring in another lawyer who is not entangled in the case.
