When it comes to pizza, toppings are incredibly important. No matter how good the crust and sauce are, it doesn’t matter if a terrible topping is added to the pizza.
A new survey says that it has determined America’s least favorite pizza topping, according to a post on YouGov.com. The results are based on a poll that included 6,000 adults from the United States.
According to the results, America’s most disliked topping is anchovies. The small fish has a big taste and is often the butt of bad-pizza-topping jokes. While people not liking anchovies on pizza may not be surprising, the survey also revealed several other unpopular pizza toppings.
While 61% of respondents said that they don’t like anchovies on pizza, 52% also said that they don’t like eggplant on pizza. Artichokes were the third least popular topping, with 44% of respondents saying no to them.

In China and SE Asia, they put pineapple on pizza.
Such a thing should be punishable by 20 lashes.
Broccoli was the fourth most disliked topping and pineapple came with fifth with 35% of respondents saying no to pineapple on pizza (sorry, ‘ham-and-pineapple’ fans).
Meanwhile, Pepperoni is reportedly the most popular topping with a 64% approval rating. That was followed by sausage, mushrooms, extra cheese and then onions.
pineapple is the only non Italian thing on the list.
eggplant? Who would even think to put that on there? ...Like saying peanuts are your least favorite pizza topping.
I love eggplant and artichokes on pizza. Green peppers would be my least liked topping.
And no matter what else is on it, if it has pineapple, it's not pizza.
I love pineapple, but not on pizza!
I like anchovies on my pizza, sometimes. Sage sausage is worse.

I love anchovies on my pizza. Order them and you get to eat the whole thing yourself.

Anchovies on my pizza are a great addition. And the only real Caesar salad is made with anchovies
Anchovie, Garlic and Onion are my favorite topping followed by HOT Italian sausage.
BTW, I take exception to the claim toppings make the Pizza. It is the sauce which determines if a Pizza is any good, followed by the dough used for the crust.
I love anchovies. But, I am the only one in my entire family.
