From what I have read the outages are not ‘rotating’...there is just huge areas without power and the temp in the teens.
Hope everyone has a fireplace...
We live in North Texas...our power was off all day....came back about 5:00 pm. Most likely will be down all day tomorrow!!!!
One of my employees was out of power starting at 2a yesterday. She finally got it back at 4:30 PM. Then lost it 2 more times. When I spoke to her at 7:30 PM it was off again. It’s currently 6° Now we have boil water orders in some areas. Treatment plants lost power. Plus another winter storm warning starting at 6:00pm Tuesday with a mix of ice and snow.
Fun times on the grid
From what I’ve experienced, it was not rotating. Many areas just down. My area down from 2 am...on at 10 am. The rest of the day, the electro Lords gave us power maybe every 35 - 40 mins later for about 20 to 35 mins.
Children and friends less than 40 mins away never lost power. They all live in large metro areas.
My husband and I, decided the rurals don’t matter.
Thankfully, had generators, kerosene, and wood.
Next plan, back up house generator with propane tank. The electro Lords can kiss it.
I would hope they have a wood stove.
A fireplace is nice to look at, but over 60% of the heat goes up the chimney.
