exactly- and if people get the vaccine, they can still get the virus- just not as severe from what i understand- so, with a 99.6% survival rate without a vaccine, and an even higher survival rate after getting the vaccine- if that is how it pans out- then like you say- that’s a good thing- maybe the vaccines will raise the survivability even higher, to say 99.8 or so?, so in other words- practically everyone that gets it will survive- with perhaps only the very sickest pre condition folks having difficulties- but even their cases will improve supposedly with the vaccine-
[[reports the group vaccinated is 92% less likely to succumb to severe illness due to COVID-19.]]
i don’t believe so=- i thought it just lessens the severity of the virus, not prevent it altogether- just like you can still get the flu even if you have the flu shot for that particular flu- you just get it less severe- most having no real symptoms at all
[[reports the group vaccinated is 92% less likely to succumb to severe illness due to COVID-19.]]
That i think indicates you can still get it-
Wrong. I will not get either one.
I possess an incredibly powerful immune system, especially considering that I was a very sickly child.
I have a non-fatal congenital heart defect, but I haven’t had the flu in fifteen years. Last Spring, I contracted Strep Throat, but I attribute that to the fact that I underwent a major Oral surgery.
There is absolutely no chance that I will contract the Chinese virus. Even if I did, I wouldn’t even get sick.
I fail to see why I should get a hastily concocted vaccine for a little virus that I will never have. Also, if we will still be forced to wear the hateful muzzles and are still required to quarantine, why bother taking the vaccine?
I refuse to change my way of life for a virus with a survival rate of over 99%.
26 deaths registered on February 15, 2021. That’s down from a high of 101 on January 20, 2021. It is early yet to see the full results of all those vaccinations.
Sounding oh so reasonable - another place, another time
just wow
well i aint too good at figuring %’s or whatever- but if say 90% of elderly die, and say 10 in 100 died before getting vaccine, just for sake of simplicity- a 90% reduction would mean only 1 in 100 would now die supposedly, if they get vaccine?
As it is, in the elderly, 99.4% survive i guess already- so the remaining % deaths would be reduced a further 92% according to the article So we’re nearing a 100$ survival rate even with hte elderly/sick
or am i figuring it wrong?
BECAUSE IT DOESN’T PREVENT CONTRACTION. -cough- Sorry. It can’t be emphasized enough that you will most likely still catch it, but just not suffer as severe of a case. Multiple companies have said that it isn’t a preventative.
Since it’s about as FAR from poison as a virus can be, I’ll take my chances.
I’ve known 80 year olds that beat it with a few days’ rest
Ditto that on the immune system. I live and die by “An ounce of PREVENTION is worth a POUND of cure.”. Amazed at so much talk about symptom treatment but so little about PREVENTION.
Almost never ever get sick. Others get colds, flues, etc. and I’m around them and nothing, ZIP.
No
The point of vaccines these days is to make some people a butt load of money
