This is a referendum on her singing abilities, she's not bad. But she definitely isn't Carrie Underwood or Kelly Clarkson.
So, apparently because she is the foul mouthed, Trump hating, sixteen-year old daughter or the Trump/Pence campaign manger and Senior Counselor to President Donald J. Trump, she got moved to the front of the line - clearly ahead of probably more talented candidates.
So the lesson to be learned for future American Idol candidates, publicly pronounce your hate for all things Trump or conservative, trash your conservative parents and you'll have a much better chance of success with the AI judges.

Maybe if she posted the nude pictures (her admitted "selfies") she has on her phone (that she accused her mother, Kellyanne Conway, of posting), the judges might just move her straight to the finals, skipping all the competition in between.

Her singing sucked, and the 2 judges who voted Yes were likely told to. The producers are stringing the useful idiot along for ratings.

The lipstick was all wrong. Her voice was forced and wound up too tight. Even with the accompaniment of a piano, she had pitch problems. If they had Simon Cowell as a judge, you would have heard from him.

American Idol is many things but it is not really a “talent contest”. It is entertainment first and foremost and for reasons only the producers know, drama is entertaining (not to me but to most of their audience).
Claudia Conway is just a cog in their machine. She will be used as long as she is useful (pulling in supporters) and she will be dropped when her usefulness is over.
Katy Perry looks like Meghan McCain and the Conway girl is not very talented or interesting. Her father is a mess. Needs to hit the gym and find a new barber.

Well, Joe Biden had 38,000 views on his speech today compared to 775,000 for President Trump. Maybe American Idol is setting up a competition, where Ivanka or some other Trump is on the show as well. The audience call-in vote would be interesting....
