One problem: how many of these 70-80 million Trump supporters will show up at the polls in 2022?

Fear and income preservation.
Toomey and Burr are not running for reelection, so they didn’t care what their Republican constituents thought about the trial.
What motivated most pubbies to vote not guilty? A public vote. A secret vote would have convicted him. Any fool conservative still voting Uniparty (R) is a big part of the problem.
What “polls.” That quaint idea is so 20th Century.
If we refused to deal with the horrible, treacherous fraud this time, there won’t be another time.
Two are retiring. Three just were re-elected. One is up in four years and is ancient as hell. And one is up in 2022 and must be confident she’ll win because she won in a write in last time. That’s the end of story really. Nobody will see consequences for this vote. I know many want to see it, but it won’t happen.
