Two are retiring. Three just were re-elected. One is up in four years and is ancient as hell. And one is up in 2022 and must be confident she’ll win because she won in a write in last time. That’s the end of story really. Nobody will see consequences for this vote. I know many want to see it, but it won’t happen.

Don’t bet on it.

Not much of a party without voters.

The consequences will be felt across the entire party. A friend of mine for a fundraising phone call from the RNC two weeks ago. The jackass begging for money on the other end of the line turned absolutely hostile when my friend said he wouldn’t be contributing to the GOP anymore.

He couldn’t understand why someone SOLICITING DONATIONS would act that way. I explained to him that the people making these calls knew damn well that they’re going to be out of a job soon ... because a big chunk of the money raised by these political parties is used to pay the salaries of the people who work for the organization.

Yes, Murkowski won in 2010 as an independent, but the Republican who beat her in the primary was a nobody (do you remember his/her name?)

Murkowski won because there were enough "moderate" republican votes combined with democrat votes (they strategically voted for Murkowski because they knew the dem candidate had no chance of winning).

That won't happen in 2022. Murkowski was already in trouble with Alaskan voters because of her caving into the Kavenaugh sham hearings. Since the Trump era, the "moderate" vote is a fraction of what it was. NO ONE who voted for Trump is going to vote for Murkowski. I just hope the Republican party is smart and nominates a strong candidae against her in the Primary and Trump goes up there to campaign.
