Jeff Bezos has been spotted landing in Cabo San Lucas with girlfriend Lauren Sanchez for a romantic Valentine's getaway following his announcement that he would step down as the CEO of Amazon.
Bezos, 57, and Sanchez, 51, arrived at the luxurious Mexican vacation spot in a private jet on Friday, and were quickly whisked away by a waiting limousine to begin their weekend retreat.
It was the first time the lovebirds had been spotted together since Bezos announced on February 2 that he would hand over the day-to-day management of Amazon to longtime company executive Andy Jassy by the end of this year.
Bezos will remain in the powerful role of executive chairman -- but the move should free up more time for his pursuit of space flight with Blue Origin, as well as intimate getaways with his lover Sanchez.
On Friday, Bezos, Sanchez and their entourage were all wearing face masks as they disembarked the private jet in Cabo.

Ew! I’m pretty sure that if I had that sort of money that I could come up with better. I had the same perplexed reaction when I saw Arnold’s nanny. Hell, I’d rather be alone.
I suppose my perspective is different. But, I’m not jealous, envious... In not so long a time he’ll be just as dead as I will be. The price is the same.

When I was young, could never figure out why so many super rich would be in favor of socialism (climate change watermelon - green on the outside, red on the inside). Then I read a book called the “Naked Capitalist”. The author explained how they preferred socialist/commi regimes because they could shield their wealth from the higher taxes and also could easily bribe the corrupts officials/leaders. Way easier than getting what they wanted via messy and uncertain democratic systems.

The megayacht, the Flying Fox is quite a carbon footprint with its massive engine producing 12,000 horsepower and capable of hitting a speed of 20 knots. I don’t think Bezos purchased it.

I checked and a private jet will cost anywhere between $2,000 to $5,000 per hour. And, you can get a slight discount if you do regular business with them.
I have no problem if these idiots want to spend their own money. The problem is when they want to tax and regulate everyone else.

Yeh, the richest guy in the world just suddenly wakes up and decides to give up all that status and power and work on climate change. Riiight! I wonder what Microsoft’s CEO’s excuse was?
