***I've been using 10% lidocaine that I can't get here...had to go to china for it. I think this works great. I forgot I had used it and I touched my lips...it was like Novacaine. China sells it for "tatoo removal"***

I have lidocaine gel that my Dr wrote for me so long ago I would have to look at the date - originally wrote it for my mother who passed in 1998; still works.

Drug stores like WalMart sell stick-on lidocaine patches - about 4" x 5.5". Perhaps there are OTC creams that contain lidocaine; not sure.

***I just got it in the mail (haven't tried it yet) this:***

Interesting - capsaicin is chili pepper, usually irritating to skin - used in defensive pepper spray; the percentage in the cream is a fraction of 1%. Rugby Labs is a good brand as far as I know. Wikipedia says that it is often in compounds with other rubefacients which cause capillary dilation, increasing local blood flow. I do not see any listed in the ingredients.

capsaicin - I’ve used it. According to information I read before purchasing, it is actually supposed to slightly curative also. I got 2 different concentrations.

The more concentrated cream - I had to wear gloves to apply it-burning sensation for hrs. on the hand. The other one was ok to just apply with my hand.

Strangely there was not really a burning sensation on my leg or knees.

Thanks. I couldn’t seem to find more than 4% lidocaine sold over the counter in U.S. I was\am using Blue-Emu 4% lidocaine that has a dauber on the end...

Hope you latch on to something that works.
