“When you’re removed from the platform, you’re removed from the platform.” So says the giant tech platform, Twitter.
They have announced that Donald J. Trump, the 45th President of the United States is now permanently banned from Twitter and will never be allowed back on the platform, even if he ran for President again (looks like a great opportunity for Trump to start his own for the next few years).
“Our policies are designed to make sure that people are not inciting violence,” Twitter CFO Ned Segal said.
In response to those who would say that Twitter has been hurt by banning conservative leaders and thus losing users to other start up social media apps and sites, Segal said, “We added 40 million people to our DAU [daily active user count] last year, and 5 million last quarter. In January, we added more DAU than the average of the last four Januarys, so hopefully that gives people a sense for the momentum we’ve got from all the hard work we’ve done on the service.”

Yup. And it appears that even his own attorneys agreed to that yesterday.
WHAT WAS HE THINKING when he hired these yahoos? He had Gaetz begging to represent him. Dershowitz offered his services. I expect there were others. And THIS is what he ends up with? These are bad decisions, and I’m speaking as The Queen Of Bad Decisions.

Twitter has to eventually lose value without his content...
I would love to see President Trump create his own online media tools.
It would be cool to have a web based tool that had separate tabs to do what all of the other major providers do. A tab each for videos, conversation/blogging, organizing events, etc.
If he has his own network of servers and multimedia equipment he could make a massive footprint.
He’d never be able to put the others out of business, but the opposition would lose a lot of advertising hits, I think.
And we’d have our own fact checkers for once.
Facebook, Twitter lied in their IPO on how many users they had. Nothing changed. They are still lying.

Twitter gives it self to much credit for what power they think they have they aren’t the only outlet on earth.
Why can’t a patriotic hacker hack into Twitter and give Trump unfettered access?

I want to know why Trump and hundreds of Twitter users and I assume pay for, are not sueing the bloody owner for violating their constitutional freedom of speech.
Because there is no law by which companies must provide freedom of speech.
Governments must, but not companies.
Any store can post, “No conservative talk allowed inside our store.” and be totally legal.
They’d lose tons of business of course.
But it’s not illegal.
Just like you can legally to tell all liberals who enter your home to shut up. It’s your home. Their freedom of speech ends there.
