“When you’re removed from the platform, you’re removed from the platform.” So says the giant tech platform, Twitter.
They have announced that Donald J. Trump, the 45th President of the United States is now permanently banned from Twitter and will never be allowed back on the platform, even if he ran for President again (looks like a great opportunity for Trump to start his own for the next few years).
“Our policies are designed to make sure that people are not inciting violence,” Twitter CFO Ned Segal said.
In response to those who would say that Twitter has been hurt by banning conservative leaders and thus losing users to other start up social media apps and sites, Segal said, “We added 40 million people to our DAU [daily active user count] last year, and 5 million last quarter. In January, we added more DAU than the average of the last four Januarys, so hopefully that gives people a sense for the momentum we’ve got from all the hard work we’ve done on the service.”

Make sure that the election is never questioned again...
If you notice, they’re concentrating on making the point that, Trump repeatedly questioned the legality of the election, or that the election was rigged.
Trump is not the only target of that line of arguing by the democrats. They want to make sure that NOBODY ever questions the integrity of the election again. And their methods are working, as witnessed by how even republicans are distancing themselves from questioning the election results.
What republican or conservative even dares mention the fraud or the ‘stop the steal’ slogan? If any republican or conservative dares to mention the fraud of the theft of the election, he/she will be attacked immediately, by democrats and the left-wing media. Democrats are striking fear into any republican or conservative who dares to question the election of Biden or the senators from Georgia.
It’s a means towards an end, and the end is to make sure that even Trump doesn’t dare ever again to question the election, while making sure that republicans are filled with fear if they dare to question what occurred in the elections.

Step one: form lines this way to approach podium area to hear President Trump.
Then later step two: form lines between FBI and police to unresistingly approach open doors of semis, have wrist restraints applied and go to booking process at old fairgrounds. Terrorist laws to be applied to you.

Now that Trump is a private citizen, seems to me like he can sue Twitter for defamation.
