Trump never conceded he lost, but his impeachment lawyer did

One of the lawyers heading former President Donald Trump’s defense at his second impeachment trial did what Trump himself has not: conceded Joe Biden won the presidential election. —

In opening remarks Tuesday, lawyer Bruce Castor said: “The American people just spoke, and they just changed administrations.” He added that Americans are “smart enough to pick a new administration if they don’t like the old one, and they just did.”

The comments by Castor, a former county prosecutor in Pennsylvania, were a surprising contrast to Trump’s defiance. The former president repeatedly disputed the results of the election, falsely claiming he won in a “landslide.” And he kept up the baseless claims through the end of his presidency, including during a speech at a rally that preceded the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol, which set in motion his trial on a charge of incitement of insurrection.

“We will stop the steal,” he said at the rally. “Today I will lay out just some of the evidence proving that we won this election, and we won it by a landslide. This was not a close election.”

There was no widespread fraud in the election, as has been confirmed by election officials across the country and former Attorney General William Barr. Dozens of legal challenges to the election put forth by Trump and his allies were dismissed.

TWO thumbs up to you! You just described it the same way I saw it happen. Your takes on Castor and Schoen were also correct.

Well, somebody picked a new administration because they didn't like the old one.

Just not sure it was the American people who did the picking.

The usual fake news posts from the Berlin Freeper? You bet.
Who is president today even if he is a fake , illegitimate president? Dementia Joe.
Is President Trump the President of the United Sates today? Nope.
You can't impeach someone who is no longer the president.
You can't even impeach a cabinet ember who is no longer a cabinet member.
Look up the attempted impeachment of William Belknap in 1876. Of course the US Senate threw it out after a highly partisan House impeached Belknap.
The grounds? You can't impeach a cabinet member who is out of office.

“When President Trump said there would be a peaceful transition, he did indeed concede.”

Yes and no.

I doubt President Trump will ever concede that he lost the election - because he knows he didn’t.

However, he did lose the White House - he moved out - he is no longer the President. Biden is.

I’m sure he has no problem conceding all that because it’s true - it happened. January 20th.

But he never has to concede that he lost the election.

In fact, strictly speaking, you can’t “concede” something you don’t believe to be true. It would be like a false confession.

Trump will be nearly 80 in 2025. He isn’t going to run again.

"When I started listening to Caster, I thought it was a Democrat. It took a while, a long while before realizing that he was talking in support of Trump."

Same here. Had no clue he was representing President Trump till someone on the thread mentioned it. I would have never guessed it. Never.

“Trump would almost certainly have been reelected.”

Trump was running away with the election at 11:00PM on election night. Then, of a sudden, the media claimed no further results or counts would be followed for the last 6 states, Trump was leading by hundreds of thousands of votes, 800,000 in PA alone.

Watermain breaks that never happened (GA)

Cases full of ballots pulled from under tables and counted and scanned multiple times (GA)

Truck loads of ballots dropped off past the receipt deadline (MI)

Feckless legislatures and court inaction (All states)

Machines flipping Trump votes to Biden caught (Altrim County, MI)

The corruption in both party’s is nationwide and is an absolute disgrace!

I am pretty sure a lot of this has been explained and debunked and failed, miserably, in the courts. You might want to move on as Trump’s own lawyer, who represents Trump, has done.

If he were my lawyer after a defeatist and sound bite statement like that I would have kicked his future breeding rights up into his throat.

I am MH and I approve this action. And only God will punish me for this thought.

Blessings.

The fraud table comes from Harvard Economist Peter Navarro, who compiled three reports on the election fraud, they are linked here:

Trump will be nearly 80 in 2025. He isn’t going to run again.

He will be younger than Biden is right now - and he shows no evidence of Biden's mental decline. He'll run again.

I admit to being continually amazed by the FRAUD that are lawyers and judges.

How can so many un-able, rise to their positions in life?

LACKING in discipline. LACKING integrity.

They are all supposed to be smart people who can be trusted.

Yet their union demands that it police itself; and that, is their failure.

Including, they want to be paid for their failings.

There does not seem to actually be a union re the law.

Rather, theirs is a mutual stuffed admiration society.

No wonder that the U.S. Senate’s mutual stuffed admiration society, has declared itself judge and jury, too; now able -— *because it can* -— cancel:

- people in office
- people out of office
- un-desired temperatures
- the Bill of Rights
- the principle of the enumeration of powers
- original intent (this means your Last Will and Testament is now void)
- individual rights
- individual choice and self-determination

Basically, the U.S. Senate is now above all law and can cancel any U.S. Supreme Court Justice.

Biden only has to send a memo to Schumer.

No “Democrat” in the Senate, can refuse - lest he/she/it be canceled for “political impurity.”

The U.S. Senate *can* - because it says so - cancel every judge appointed and approved during the Trump Admin.
