I grow stinging nettle. I certainly hope it’s not that poisonous. I understand it can be made into a tea but I’ve never tried. No hemlock around here AFAIK.

"Of those arrested for cannabis-related activities, some 92 percent (500,395) were arrested for marijuana possession offenses only."

He made poison ivy too. Just because He created a plant doesn’t mean we should smoke it.

So? Lots of things are illegal that maybe shouldn’t be but they are.

What about edibles? :P

I have never actually had edible pot. I have no idea what it’s like but as I said previously I’m not much a fan of being “stoned”.

Pot isn’t exactly the hill to die on. Pick a better battle. Pot smokers are usually always morons that are too stupid to not smoke pot.

Nobody is advocating the smoking of it or its prohibition. Your post makes no sense.

Pot isn’t exactly the hill to die on.

Since the battle is going the legalizers' way, with more states legalizing every election cycle - including red states Alaska, Montana, and South Dakota - your advice is better directed at the nanny-statist Reefer Madness bitter-enders. Individual liberty is good policy and good politics.

Thanks for the ping.

Cannabis should be legal to have, to grow & to share among adults, imo.

So? Lots of things are illegal that maybe shouldn’t be but they are.

So - in this Land of the Free, let's reverse those bad laws.

This isn’t about liberty, this is about wanting to smoke pot.

The dumbing down of America continues. Pot is a liberal desire, as with homosexuality, child molestation, abortion, etc.

This isn’t about liberty, this is about wanting to smoke pot.

That's a liberal style of argument, as in: RKBA isn’t about liberty, it's about wanting to shoot people.

Pot is a liberal desire

Nonsense - not a few conservatives, including some FReepers, use marijuana.

“But it seems stupid to arrest people on this.”

Back before they decided to make the stuff legal, (and profitable along with taxable), there was only one rule to break. Now that they have introduced this hallucinogen they complicated its freeing with rules to use it because of the inherent dangers of its use. So they didn’t do anyone a favor by allowing the public to play with it. It changes from a recreation to a danger. And the species of man currently has proven their ingenuity to push the laws established for everyone’s protection just to see if they can get away with it.

Hence, to keep people with little of no intelligence from harming others, they have to enforce those laws that were pointed at it. Otherwise, people are going to die.

So we should enact laws banning the inebriating drug alcohol as well - right?

"545,602 people will now struggle to find jobs, a place to live, and a business loan. They can’t vote or buy a gun for self-defense."

While I don't think pot should be illegal for personal use, the above sentence is 100% false.
