Yet, it is this broad-based disdain of boomers that led GenX to reject the life-lessons of those same boomers.
Of MLK, Johnson, Vietnam, Nixon, and yes, Reagan. Alex Keaton was character produced by Hollywood.
Which says VOLUMES about your world-view.
The current generation, under 22YO, hold your generation in contempt.
They call [you] slackers.
You reject the moral lessons of your birthright because, meh...it’s too much work.
I will pass back that broad-based disdain: GenX-ers are whiney p*ssies looking for an easy retirement from Uncle Sugar.
Please...piss and whine among yourselves.

That’s ridiculous. Gen X never had a chance. Boomers had the attention. Destroyed our country and still can’t stop destroying it on the way out. Millennials will pick up your disastrous example and continue your horrid legacy.

Hmmm, you just described a cousin of mine who was born at the beginning of the Millenial cohort. She and her husband want all the trappings of a lifetime of work, but with the actual work that is necessary. Then, again, she was raised by over-indulgent parents. It depends on who raises you. The Boomers who raised me did so with an aim towards instilling in me the very same work ethic with which they were raised. Therefore, I don't think that anyone owes me anything. All I have ever asked for a an opportunity to prove myself, and to reap the fruits of my sweat.
