If acetone is the solvent then her hair is a goner. It will strip the water and oils out leaving a brittle stem. Heck, everyone needs to be in gas masks, is flammable as well and dare say could be explosive in a closed room.

Only way that comes to mind for safe handling of acetone in this situation is inside a walk-in fume hood. OSHA regs come into play re. inhalation and explosive vapors. A squirt bottle of acetone is common around a laboratory to dry water from things and as a degreaser. Of course, we are wearing PPE and dealing with a few milliliters at a time.

The maroon is strong in that woman. Plus, she is going to be bald as a cucumber with skin injuries. She'll be in a wig for a year to hide an ugly head. I can see long term and perhaps permanent hair and skin damage as the surface epidermal layer and root structure are likely to be damaged by acetone.
