Angelia’s pizza in Moon Township, near the Pittsburgh Airport has been around for ages and makes a pretty good pie.

I doubt these insta-studies ever delist Cici’s Pizza, Papa Johns Pizza, and Dominos Pizza.

If you REALLY love pizza you don’t eat these.

Can we also count the frozen pizzas in the grocers’ (Tortino’s on up)?

When they calculate the number of pizzarias per resident, do they include chain places like Pizza Hut and Dominos and Little Caesar’s?

But is deep dish really a pizza?

More like a pizza casserole in a pie crust.

I lived in NJ for nine years. Great pizzas in our small town. Went back there with the kids about 4 years ago. The best pizza shop in town (family run, 40+ years) was on it’s last week.

It was fun (and sad) to enjoy the place with our kids for one last time. The kids were amazed at what a “real” pizza tasted like!

I didn’t look at the list, but I’m guessing that Seattle didn’t make it!

I’ve had pizzas from multiple mom and pop pizza shops in and around Pittsburgh, and they are as good as any pizza I’ve had in Chicago (never had pizza in NYC, so I can’t compare).

I never had a Joisy pie, and understand the crust and sauce are key.

Anyone can add toppings, but you need a good pizza to put it on.

Modern, Sallys & Pepe’s, all of New Haven, CT. Real a’beetz.

Dallas is possibly one notch above Pakistan on the pizza destinations hierarchy.
