Cheney spews the leftist narratives on President Trump, ignoring voter fraud, and ultimately expressing contempt for GOP voters. She's in a power grab which, to win, she must destroy Trump.
Fresh from controversy - and GOP censure - for her sparsely followed vote on impeachment, House Republican Conference leader Rep. Liz Cheney is putting some new plans on the table for Getting Trump.
Speaking on Chris Wallace's Fox News show, she suggested that the impeachment vote wasn't enough. Now she was joining the Democrats to look for criminal prosecution of President Trump.
According to left-wing Rolling Stone:
“The Senate [impeachment] trial is a snapshot. There is a massive criminal investigation underway. There will be a massive criminal investigation of everything that happened on January 6th and in the days before,” Cheney continued, “People will want to know exactly what the president was doing. They will want to know, for example, whether the tweet that he sent out calling Vice President Pence a coward while the attack was underway—whether that tweet, for example, was a premeditated effort to provoke violence… There will be many, many criminal investigations looking at every aspect of this that everyone who was involved, as there should be.”

Remember, two-thirds of House Republicans want Cheney to be in the leadership. And the other one-third, you have to ask the question, what did they do? They are gutless spineless cowards. You didn't hear them 24/7 attacking Cheney or pressuring the other two-thirds. They only cast their vote against Cheney because it was a secret ballot. That's transparency that establishment Republicans hide behind. Every single last one of them.
The GOP is dead.

Excellent analogy Re Christ/ Pilate etc. Have thought the same many times
We live in a political environment not much different than Roman or other feudal kingdoms.
The executions are now character rather than physical

I can’t say what I’m thinking because I’ll get Zotted and the FBI would shortly be at my door.
So instead I will pray.... Forgive me oh Lord for the evil thoughts I have, particularly those about Liz Cheney. In Jesus name, amen.

Liz Cheney is the embodiment of all that is wrong in politics. Politicians have ceased being public servants and become overlords. They've also stopped legislating and become keystone cops and why not? The judiciary has assumed the role of legislation. What republicans fail to understand is that while liberal voters approve of this shake-up, conservative voters reject it. Conservative voters did their best to try and save the Republic and were unable to overcome the massive fraud that took place in November. The only path left to saving it outside of public action is for States to regain their power. It is now up to the individual States. I cannot imagine red States sitting back and allowing Federal government to strip them of their ability to run elections nor can I imagine them sitting idly by as Biden legislates through executive order.

Her getting the votes she got for her leadership role simply demonstrates what secret ballots get you here and if they are tried in the Senate.
The majority of the Republican party laughs at their “rubes”...
...and you’ll never be anything else in their eyes until they are swept aside.

I suspect it’s actually been decades — if not a century or more — since members of Congress or their staff members actually drafted the legislation they vote on.
Legislation is written by LOBBYISTS.
The good news, I guess, is that government has become such an enormous “industry” these days that the bills passed by Congress are getting increasingly convoluted to the point of being incoherent.

Very good point however, laws that are so incoherent make it much easier for them to be applied unevenly. We're seeing that right now. I suspect the trial balloon for this was IRS tax code.
