I did not realize that she is 85 years old...
I did not know that Mr. Plummer did not like the film...He did enjoy working with Julie Andrews...
If I have to name the most famous film with Mr. Plummer, I have to name THE SOUND OF MUSIC...Whether he liked the movie or not...Yes, he has been in other movies...
That's a question...
Julie Andrews on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson: https://youtu.be/3G1s_t1-wpw
I just checked him out on Wikipedia the other day. Quite a loss but we all gotta go sometime.
It's kind of like Lee Marvin and Clint Eastwood being judged on their performance in Paint Your Wagon. Neither one could carry a tune in a sack...
My favorite movie in my 67 years.. I can almost say the entire script. Very special to me.
I think Mr. Plummer termed the classic 60s movie "sappy," and "The Sound of Mucus"
I'll remember his portrayal of Klingon General Chang in Star Trek VI, who is mostly heard spouting Shakespeare… He played it campy (which old Trek was noted for) and it was hilarious! He'll be missed – RIP
Dolores Claiborne (1995)
“Now you listen here, Mr. Grand High Poobah of UPPER BUTT CRACK..I’m just about half past give-a-shit with your fun and games.”
The famous quote from Dolores (Kathy Bates) to Detective John Mackey (Christopher Plummer).
She has been performing for a long time. I believe she was the original Guenevere in the Broadway production of Camelot along with Richard Burton as King Arthur and Robert Goulet as Lancelot. That was in the 60's I think.
