Kansas City Chiefs linebackers coach Britt Reid — son of head coach Andy Reid — was involved in a three-vehicle crash Thursday night that left a 5-year-old child with life-threatening injuries, per multiple reports.
Britt Reid, 35, is under investigation for driving impaired. He has been with the team since 2013.
The crash reportedly happened one exit away from the Chiefs’ practice facility on southbound Interstate 435 near Eastwood Trafficway.

I hate drunk drivers. Our country‘s laws are way too lenient when it comes to letting drunks drive.
Yeah, bad taste. Not that that has stopped me in the past. I hope for the recovery of the child.

I don’t want to pre-judge anyone but nowadays, there’s no reason to drive impaired. The time that that has been winked at has come and gone. Get a Designated Driver before you take a nip. Or abstain.
There is a real Britt Reid? The only Britt Reid I ever heard of was being the name of the radio and tv character also known as “The Green Hornet.” And I’m not being sarcastic. I guess my lack of watching football is the reason.

A friend of mine had a perfect driving record here in WI. Not even speeding or parking tickets. She has a DUI and BAM! She had to pay a $2,000+ fine, and breathe into a ignition thing for 2 years. And this was her very first offense.
I just think that DUI laws target social drinkers rather than the hard-core drunks. Again, I'm all for getting the drunks off the road, with BAC levels like .16 or something. But I guarantee you the Biden "administration" is going to have a zero-tolerance federal DUI law coming up. This will kill the tavern and restaurant industries.
I’m too young, at 73, to having heard “The Shadow” on the radio and never listened to any of the radio replays. Howerver, the name “Lamont” comes to mind as a possible first name.
I am considerably younger than you, but I do love listening to old radio shows.
Thank you. The old shows are entertaining and often better than what is on TV these days. I do remember listening to The Lone Ranger on the radio with my grandfather.

Drunk driving is akin to going into a store or mall, closing your eyes and randomly shooting a gun in different directions. And it should be punished as such.
