Cornell law professor creates online database of 220 universities teaching critical race theory to help parents choose colleges that don't make the 'racist ideology' mandatory

A Cornell Law School professor has launched a new database which lists schools teaching critical race theory, after blasting the practice as ‘very racist’ and accusing ‘anti-racism ideology’ of causing discrimination on campuses.

William Jacobson appeared on Fox News on Thursday night to speak about the site, which he claims will help parents avoid sending their children to schools where they will be ‘indoctrinated’ into thinking that the ‘most important thing in society is the color of your skin’.

Jacobson, the founder of the conservative website Legal Insurrection, launched the site earlier this week and has already listed 220 universities and their approaches to critical race theory, which Fox host Tucker Carlson branded as the notion that ‘some races are inherently better than other races’.

Broadly, critical race theory says that white supremacy is an ideology that is baked into the structures of society and particularly the law - and that to deal with it, everyone who is white should acknowledge how they have benefited from it, or become 'privileged.'

But critics say that it leaves people exposed to the training feeling that they are being blamed for problems that they did not cause - such as slavery and Jim Crow - and that it is itself racially divisive.

The professor claims he started the site after Cornell ‘implemented a pushover the summer to embed what they call anti-racism ideology into every aspect of the campus’ amid the Black Lives Matter protests following the deaths of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor.

‘Anti-racism does not actually mean what people think it means. It actually is very racist,’ Jacobson claimed during his interview with Carlson.

Yes, Daily Mail, critical race theory is a racist ideology.

No need to put that in quotes.

Good for him but... It seems like trying to hold back the ocean. The nrw racial ideology is sure to spread everywhere and anything in its path destroyed including the goid professor.

Three of my ancestors fought for the Union in the Civil War. Do I get an exemption from paying reparations?

One of these ancestors returned from the War apparently either ill or badly wounded. He had to sell his small farm and died fairly young. His son had to work to support himself and didn’t go to school. He was illiterate until his wife taught him to read and write. White privilege for sure?

Good old Doctor Jacobson. His “Legal Insurrection” blog is well worth a look. Well done!

Had to check the list as my daughter starts college this fall. Thankfully her school is not on the list. For now, anyway.

Excellent website. They have several panel discussions available on victims of cancel culture and debunking "systemic" racism ideology.

I went there for information and in preparation for newly required mandatory training to maintain my employment.

Words are powerful. Equity is not equality. Social justice is not equal justice for all.

This is a trap. This is to force colleges that aren’t doing it to start doing it

Can you link the list? I did not see it in the article. My son also starts school this fall.

I’ve no idea. My family moved from Europe in the early 20th century. One side was in Kansas during the Civil war but have no history on what they did or when they took the journey. Maybe they’ll give selected white people deferrals and only have to pay 50%?

At this point, might as well assume that every college is teaching it, except maybe Hillsdale College. I am sure the college I graduated from, Moody Bible Institute, is teaching it. If you are not actively trying to stay conservative you will become liberal.

I am absolutely sure University of Mary, a gem of an institution with its main campus in Bismarck, ND, is not teaching it either.
