Seems like it could do a lot of damage. John McClaine used that much to take out three of those thieves in the lower floors of Nakatomi Plaza in LA back in the Christmas of 1988 ... made a mess of things ... police everywhere were covered with glass afterwards as it blew out every single window and left the inside a smouldering mess.

We used to use C-4 to heat our C-rations. Cut off a cube, light it with a match. Nice, even flame to heat a can of beef stew or beanie-weenie.

I terms of explosive force, C-4 is roughly equal to 1.5 dynamite by weight. C-4 is much more versatile as it can be molded into almost and shape desired greatly increasing its effectiveness.

Ten pounds of C-4 would be eight demolition blocks. That is a lot of C-4 to go 'missing'.
