The San Francisco Unified School District's recent vote to rename schools over the reckoning of historical figures and their flawed legacies has been widely seen as an incompetent, embarrassing mess.
The near-unanimous vote on Monday to rename 44 schools by the San Francisco Board of Education came after years of debate. The canceled names include campuses named after former presidents George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and Abraham Lincoln and Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein.
And as if spending valuable time (and a lot of money) renaming a third of the schools in the district when every student is still stuck at home wasn't enough, some in the district have now taken the confounding stance that acronyms are a symptom of "white supremacy culture" and are working to remove them from buildings.
The district's arts department has decided to change its name, "VAPA" (visual and performing arts) to "SFUSD Arts Department" because they say "acronyms are a symptom of white supremacy culture," reports ABC7.

BLM is an initialism, a close cousin to the acronym, but still not quite the same. Apparently those can’t be racist.
Joe Pags was talking about this last night and he called them abbreviations, which I knew wasn’t correct, so I looked it up. An acronym is a pronounceable shortening, like NASA.
FBI is an example of an initialism.
I’m amazed they even know what an acronym is.

Probably we can drop the word cell from phone as "home" and "work" landlines barely exist anymore.
That’s no longer just a figure of speech. Roughly half the country has literally gone insane. To me, the acid test is the “transgender” nonsense. If you believe that a man can become a woman, or vise versa, then you have lost touch with objective reality, which is the very definition of insanity. We are surrounded by the clinically insane, and they control most of the institutions. It is a dire situation, but the only way to fight it is to refuse to play along with their insane delusions.
At my age...I do NOT “play along wither insane delusions.”...and I am trying to laugh at them...but it’s not easy.
I do recall his show went on hiatus after that (recall, day time tv used to be live in the early 60s)

How long until they finally get around to the main point, but education itself is racist and that they need to end it. Let everyone go to private schools if they wish.
