Encrypted VOIP behind a good firewall and VPN with a good IP phone is a much better and more secure way to communicate, and it can cost less than one cent per minute. It's even nicer with a wired headset. There are very rich codecs and many features. Texts are easy to send when using a keyboard and secure e-mail. Many millions of people are using VOIP with IP phones. People often assume that IP phones in offices are old landline phones.
