President Donald Trump pointed a “loaded cannon” at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, and is “singularly responsible” for the riot that day. Or so claim House Impeachment Managers in a legal brief filed Tuesday.
Before we go even a step further: These are the same impeachment-crazed House Democrats who last year impeached Donald Trump for a phone call. A phone call where he casually asked Ukraine’s president about the illicit Biden family activities there … activities that we now know the FBI was already investigating.
These are the same House Democrats who spent three years insisting Trump was a Russian asset who colluded with Vladimir Putin to fix the 2016 election.
See, before November 3, 2020, it was not a crime — let alone sedition or insurrection — to question election results.
But that was so long ago, in what was the United States of America.

… even though he specifically called for a “peaceful and patriotic” march to the Capitol.
… even though the riot began long before Trump had finished speaking … let alone long before those people in attendance had time to walk the distance down to the Capitol.
… even though the groups actually responsible had been plotting for weeks before hand, and the FBI knew about it, the Capitol Police were warned of it, Trump wanted more security down there, and the Capitol Police chief had been begging repeatedly for additional security … but DC Mayor Muriel Bowser and Nancy Pelosi rejected the calls for help.

What’s needed (and Trump is the guy to lead on this, as well as Ted Cruz, Rush Limbaugh, Alex Jones etc) is a movement to demand equal inquiry in 2021.
If they plan this staged show trial of Donald Trump, there needs to be a parallel investigation of Obama, the Clintons, the leading Democrats now in the Congress, the Bidens and Harris, especially in terms of collusion with foreign powers and business frauds.
Without this parallel investigation there is no real justice possible, nor even the appearance of real justice, in the eyes of the right half of the body politic.
Maybe it’s a good thing they are hounding Trump if it leads to this realization and the action that should follow it.

Another thought, Trump should sue for slander. They are accusing him of plotting an insurrection, or treason .. a very serious charge, and one that should be fairly easy to demonstrate is false. I would get that going in the civil courts naming Pelosi, Schumer, and other leading antagonists, leave Biden out of it because he’s just sleepwalking his way to oblivion and can’t be held responsible for his senile actions at this stage.
That would go nowhere for the same reason the calls to have Cruz and Hawley disbarred will go nowhere. The Speech and Debate Clause immunizes members of Congress from any civil or criminal liability for speeches, votes, or other acts taken in the course of their role as legislators.
Biden is really being stupid! The democrats will not be able to pull this off. And knowing that, should Biden step in and tell Pelosi and Schumer to knock it off, he would look like the great peacemaker and unifier. The way he is going, he makes himself look really insincere about creating unity. He really should wake the hell up!
If it (1/6/21) were really a loaded cannon, we would not have the problems we have today.
So a microphone is now classified as a weapon of mass destruction? Arrest the media for possesion of lethal weaponry!
