He is still owner of over 50% of the stock.
He will be a Board Member as it goes with many former CEOs.
Bezos is trying to reducing the impact of the boycott the right has waged and he thinks this will help........as if we’re stupid and believe losing the CEO title makes Amazon and less a Bezos business.
He still needs to step down as owner of the Compost.
Best way to do that is to shutter the damn thing.
Close it forever as the American disgrace it was.

Moving to take over George Soros operation to finish destroying the country, while keeping his many billions to help fund the operation. Eric Smichtd and Zuckerberg and Jack Dorsey will support Bezos in that effort.
SpaceX Starship tested today and it exploded on landing again. Not a good day for tech stuff it seems.
Bezos will be remembered as a man who exercising the inherent freedom of capitalism and utilizing his own intelligence and insight established a unique company that was made possible by the technology of the day. He has achieved great wealth and power. Yet he will always be remembered as a man who was not gracious or charitable. He quashed the free speech and freedom of others by using his wealth and power to destroy Parler. He is also gossly obtuse to the well being of his poorly paid employees. Bezos is reminiscent of the Roman Crasus. Like Crasus he no doubt wishes to take his power to the next level.
Maybe he just wants to have some fun.
Or maybe Blue Horizons needs his attention.
