When I worked Security at a plant, some of the machines made sounds that I could have sampled and turned into some interesting music.
Reminds me of Talking Heads liner notes about aliens thinking that factories made music. No music on Sunday.

I used to play 'Bitches Brew' a lot when I had my radio show in college. I liked playing 'outside' stuff occasionally just to mess with people.

Reminds me of a “spontaneous” marching band cadence the drum section came up with one boring Saturday full of high school marching band practice.
The boring briefly became fun ... that is, until the band director made them stop. Oh well ... thanks for the memory!
