How to Deprogram Us
American Greatness ^ | 27 Jan, 2021 | Victor Davis Hanson

A new buzzword on social media, cable news, and among leftist activists is “deprogramming.”

Along with terms like “reprogramming,” “de-Baathification,” and “deplatforming,” deprogramming refers to cleansing the incorrect mentalities of former Trump Administration officials—and even those who voted for Trump.

Note that deprogramming does not refer to elites who peddled the “Russian collusion” hoax for years, despite the abject absence of evidence.

Not long ago, two Washington Post columnists offered some solutions to the Trumpist threat. One, Max Boot, wished to ban Fox News and other conservative stations from cable subscriptions.

The other, Eugene Robinson, suggested that there was a need to focus on mostly “white” Republicans to “deprogram” their thoughts.

Pro forma “diversity training” has already been upgraded to include coming clean about “white supremacy” and “unearned privilege.”

Graduates are supposed to emerge washed of their sins of entitlement. Only when thus vaccinated, can they become fully certified that they no longer pose a threat to the Other.

Still, how might a proper stepped-up deprogramming system deal with any diehard Trump refuseniks? Why not borrow the current Chinese “social credit system”?

Non-participating dead-ender Trumpers might lose so many social awareness points that they would be disqualified from staying at their beloved Holiday Inns or banned from Olive Garden restaurants.

Milder rejectionists could wear red MAGA cone hats. During Mao’s Cultural Revolution, such dunce cones proved useful in identifying and shaming the right wrong people.

Television, social media, and Hollywood could do their part. Viewers might be first required to participate in two-minutes of hate shouting, aimed at enemies on the screen: Donald and Melania, or perhaps former press secretary Kayleigh McEnany.

Why not just use the old fashioned reeducation camps and gulags for the refusenicks? Have our communist overlords gone soft?

Robinson is noted for his hunger strike over Haiti. I cannot recall his exact aim, but I did note that the selfless being chose to do his fasting here in the United States, rather than going to Haiti to conduct it, where the cause of the problem originated. I assume he thought he would get more out of all the white boys watching him not eat, rather than go to Haiti, where the leaders there would heap up popcorn and watch the fool starve himself to death.

Deprogramming sounds particularly insidious to me. Like we’re to become just emotionless old computers that sit on a garage shelf? It’s worse than “reprogramming”, which implies some future utility. Deprogramming is more akin to “neutering” or “castration”, or like it’s a virus that has to be eradicated. And I’m sure that’s not accidental. Just like the word “equity” has come to replace “equality”. Totally different meanings, and the switch vis a vis political dialogue is intentional.

A while back Biden said if the President did too many executive orders he was a dictator. He then has then issued more that the last 4 Presidents combined. I guess that makes him a dictator and all of the Democrats advocating violence and “reprogramming” of Trump supporters are just his puppets.

I think we need to realize that our overlords are tyrants bound and determined to eradicate us from our own homes and countries. They should be treated as such. These are not matters for polite discussion and debate. The moment the government moves in this direction, it becomes entirely committed to a revolutionary assault on our fundamental rights. There can only be one outcome after that.

If this talk of deprogramming stays on the margins, then fine, but it it spreads into the mainstream of leftist politics, then it’s time for our side to mobilize against them. I’m sure we all realize this, I’m not going peacefully to any re-education camps or even seminars, they can KMA.

Our overlords don’t know where all the guns are. The new regime has yet to bring up the subject.

We are being re-programmed for the Great Reset. Months to break old habits/norms, months to establish new habits/norms.

Disconnect sheeple from one another with lockdowns (minimize chatter) and anonymize them with masks (makes snitching easier).

Then require Covid tracing apps (so you are tracked forever after). Then require ImmuniPass cards to enter businesses, schools and events (to ensure you get your dose of whatever is in the vaccine).

This has been well planned by UN/WHO/CDC/Soros/Gates/China/communists/Democrats.

Lucky for us, the government can’t tell anyone what to think. Businesses who try to control what to say on their platforms can be boycotted. Everyone must vote no excuses.

I believe all of these things have been designed and carried out to bring elites to a position of complete control and the motivating forces are greed, lust for power, and a misplaced fear of climate change.

We need to think about how to fight back against this. Having a science-based debate about climate change is a losing proposition for our side. We need to have an economy and free will based debate about it. For me, it’s more important to put the question of rising sea levels in a larger context, and not to surrender to this hysteria about preventing the unpreventable. It’s either unpreventable because it won’t happen, or because it will inevitably happen anyway. Either way, the science becomes largely irrelevant, we can’t stop the rising of seas (although they may not rise), we should plan to adjust and mitigate, rather than destroying both the economy and civil liberties, the travel industry, the hospitality industry — all to take a wild swing at the unknown actual result of the draconian economic programs our elites plan to unleash.

And because they know most people will be opposed, they have designed methods of enforcing compliance and reducing dissent. The COVID seems to be entirely designed to promote those aims.

My only criticism of Trump would be the opposite of the elitist critique, he wasn’t Trumpian enough to stop them.

More and more, I come to the belief that if we don’t act with considerable force against this globalist coup, our freedoms will be lost for generations. Out of the ruins of their failed political and economic experiments may come a renewal of liberty, but by then they will no doubt have succeeded in totally altering the demographics of North American countries. We will then have to hope that the immigrants they bring in will be as hungry for liberty as we should be today. I don’t like that bet, do you?

I noticed that FR made a plea for adherence to the non-violent, non-insurrectionist principles that probably made sense in 2000. Do they make sense now? There will come a point where (I believe) a widespread understanding will develop that we have no other options but resistance. If they control the voting and social media platforms, then we will need to think about feasible time lines, a lot of the resistance would come from older adults who will age out of the fight eventually. This is partly what the globalists are counting on.

I’m not an especially radical person — if I am thinking like this, chances are high that many millions are also thinking like this.

I think the way they changed the paradigm from the simpler warmer/drier to this new everything that happens is climate change, the boogeyman will always be available (to the gullible at least). There are bound to be weather events that have a major impact, and these will be packaged by a compliant media as “proof” of the ever worsening climate.

The fact that worse things happened in the past will be suppressed, if nobody knows about them but a few old fogeys and climate specialists who didn’t drink the koolaid (two for two here) then the public can and evidently will be fooled.

I' m not radical person either. Yet, years ago I wrote a book, "Resistance to Tyranny." It's a primer on how to conduct a revolt. It's still available from Amazon. Get it before the book-burners do. You may need it soon
